  2. when you say £55 for an age related plate and registration, what does this involve? i am thinking of going down the same route but am not sure whats actually involved in registering as ag.. i understand the limitations, but my work does not require me to travel far, just need the heavy weight capability, and also the other benefits that come with owning a big rig! will your vehicle have to have inspection? or is it as simple as send of registration and fee, and wait for new documents? any help is much appreciated, regards TTC

  8. Hey there, Thanks for taking the time to read this, my brother is in the process of starting a business in Liverpool restoring campers and beetles, the only problem is that his workshop is as cold as a witch's tit! He has a log burner, and well, what with me working down south it makes no sense for me to drive some 250 miles to drop of my days work worth of logs.. He is only starting out his business so funding is tight, so I'm not asking for split and seasoned, just if you are working around Liverpool city centre and what to off load some wood, from your days graft then I'm sure there will be a nice brew and some chocolate hob nobs awaiting, I no this is cheeky but from one arborist to another... Can anyone help a brother out.. Thanksfor taking the time to read this Much love And safe working to y'all!! Total Tree Care
  9. howdy i have been on the arb scene for a good few years now, worked at various firms, done things for myself for a year or so, but 2 major factors have kicked me in the goolies, 1)the lack of local work coming in, and 2) i have recently just been given by the friendly judge a 6month ban, I have my own 3.5t truck, and 2toppers,2ground saws, and a nice big felling saw, if needed i can get various people to drive for me but, i could really do with something a bit more full time, that is semi local to me... anyfeedback would be great JR
  10. from reading the advert posted they are looking for subbies with their own kit....
  11. Hey quickthorn, thanks for throwing that idea into the pot, i will try it out, but if it can't jump a large gap but can jump a small gap what could be the problem/remedy? Thankyou JR
  12. ok, so i replaced the fuel breather with one from an old saw of mine, and but the old gal back together... moment of truth, pull, pull, pull..... and no luck, i tried a drop of fuel down the bore, pull, pull pull.. still nothing, i am somewhat confused now, as i have cleaned the carb, checked all pipes for blockages, there is lots of compression and a nice spark, but the fuel is just not getting burnt (if getting in atall) the saw fired up fine when i baught it, but now i cannot get any life from it, i am going away for a week on saturday, so if i have no luck by then i will have to put it into a shop (which i loathe because its alot of money for someone to do what i can do...) but maybe they will have some luck, or they no something i dont....
  13. thankyou for you input, what may i ask is an impulse hose? i have the one fuel line that goes into the carb, and then the hole where the tank vent assembly goes... all my strimmers and hedgecutters have fuel out and fuel return lines , but this only has a tank output to the carb, is this correct for my saw, or should there be a return, fuel line has been replaced, as has the fuel filter, so i need a tank vent assembly? if this is missing how come it ran when i baught it, but now i have no such luck in starting it? JR
