  1. I have had this problem in the past. It tends to happen more often with timber with a high moisture content. If you make sure there is plenty of air flow around the bags then they should be ok. You may still find a few logs in the middle of the bag with mould. I just put them in a separate bag and a few days later the mould will be gone.
  2. For me using a bench grinder is the way to go. Easy to use, gives a great sharp finish and its quick and easy to use. I have found that there is no need to buy an expensive one. Spend £40 to £60 and you will soon get your money back on the time you save.

  11. that is the other option i am looking at. not sure the best way to go at the moment. Got a log grab so its easy for me to just lift full length on to a log splitter

  15. With the price of cordwood increasing so much in the last few years, is it making it more viable to just inport kiln dried logs?

  17. Looks like i will be running out of logs very quickly. Can anyone recommend anybody who could supply me with seasoned or kiln dried hardwood logs? Looking for between 100 to 300 cubic metres loose. Cheers in advance Keith

  20. This is an excellent product for the price and works really well. I would recommend it as its lightweight whilst still being robust.

  22. Naturally seasoned logs are like cake ... getting drier and drier when left out in the air. Kiln dried logs are like biscuits ... going soft and soggy as they absorb moisture from the air.
  23. I have a few willow trees. you can come and cut them down and take what you want.
