  3. You're probably right, in the long term a biomass hybrid species would obviously yield better logs. I reckon I'd only need 200 to start with to end up with about 5 tonnes dry wood per year. Sent from my D6503 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Hi all New to the forum, having a read and finding some really great information. I am a HETAS registered and biomass boiler installer in Somerset and have a smallholding. We have around 5 acres and would like to plant a few hundred Willow plants for pollarding and harvesting for logs on a 5-6 year rotation. Therefore I'm asking of anyone has or will have this winter, willow cuttings from a pollard job that I can collect rather than sticking them through the chipper.
