  3. ha ha ha, I got all excite over the title! the trouble with the data for the measurements of weight/volume in the Armillaria circles is it doesnt acuratley map the zone, it takes into account ALL the area into the circle and works on an average assumption, false info. Makes a good science headline though.

  5. My bets on Ganoderma Pfeifferi, due to the very blackened spore layer, regression in layers and the orangey hue of the upper fringes

  18. this tree has recently subsided a bit, on the union. it is why the two halves have daylight showing through the gap. I would be taking it down by a third or totaly removing it, or bracing it.
