  1. Looks like the slug just went up in price- £15 now on the bay.
  2. Ive also just bought myself a new treemotion-loving it but my nuts are getting a bit squished by the leg loops- not loving that. Any tips to get rid of nut squishing?
  3. I had the same problem. the supplier just asked for photographs of fault & proof of purchase & sent me out a replacement pair. very good boots but im gonna try the airstreams next.
  4. I look the look of the Sherrill seat harness. Can anyone tell me what the treemotion harness is like when your sitting back in it for long periods?

  10. I bought a 10 ton vertical from this german company. dilego.de - Mein Internetkaufhaus Delivered for approx £700 8 hp, great machine but a bit awkward to manoeuvre if not on even ground. Weighs just shy of 200kg

  12. Hey guys, Im going to be removing a 17 metre section of privet hedge & replace it with a six foot fence. This is all fine, the only problem i foresee is getting the posts into where the hedge was, namely the roots. So my question to anyone who has done this before is- Should i hire a post hole auger or will i be able to dig out a hole among the roots, or should i try something else. Thanks
  13. i dont have 3 phase power unfortunately. i like the look of the 5 ton electric from riko, £650 anyone got one of these? also heard theres an arbtalk discount with them, anyone any idea what sort of discount you get?
  14. Ok, Im after a log splitter for home use only. Can anyone advise which to go for, electric or petrol. I appreciate that electric will be quieter but is that its only advantage? I have a fiskars axe (awesome) but using it for a day left my arm throbbing (i chipped my elbow bone years ago) so id keep that for occasional splitting. Cheers

  16. Beech & Sycamore- stems are about 400-900mm, logs can be cut to required length, timber can be moved to roadside for collection, anyone interested? Cheers

  18. hatchet is ordered £26 total including deliverey from the states, cant believe how cheap the fiskars stuff is on that site.
  19. been using my new fiskars over the last week, its amazing. i got mine from amazon.com too also got the sharpener with is foolproof, now i just need the hatchet for kindling...

  23. Is there a big difference in quality between the stihl & oregon chain?
  24. I was pulling myself round a limb last week, put all my weight on my ribs and heard a pop. Im not sure if its cracked, bruised or broken. Its sore but not painful, but im pretty bad for goin to the docs, usually just work through an injury. Didnt see much point goin to A&E as i was told theres nowt theyll do for you.
