  1. What is the law regarding aerial rescue. Is it enough to have a rescue climber or is there requirement to have a rescue line of sorts in place?
  2. Surely if you have a permanent groundie who I presume you have a good relationship with? It would be worth putting him through the course? Talk to him...he's not going to suddenly want climbers money? Give a little climb every now and then to keep him in tune?
  3. If re-pollarding a tree which perhaps may have decades of growth carry out the work in stages....over a few years if possible. When working on veteran oaks we will often reduce over a period of a few years. 10, 15% 1 year then the same the next. Monitoring the trees reaction to the work.
  4. We have a rescue climber going out with each of our 5, 6 or 7 crews everyday. Fantastic. But invariably the rope and harness is packed away in the kit bags.....probably at the other end of the work site!
  5. Hi David....there are a few piccies of Pin Oaks in my albums. They show them at their best...in full leaf.

  12. It's definately in a conservation area and i'd be very surprised if it didn't have a TPO on it. He knows he shouldn't be doing it!
  13. I went to a clients house to do a reduction on a large bay tree....he had applied to fell but was consequently turned down. This Lime tree was in his front garden...the guy is an arse! So tempted to take this further. What do you think?
  14. Not even with envy?
  15. Rangers fans perhaps? Celebrating the title?
