  1. Mash Garlic and Parsley and sea salt in a pestle and mortar. Coat chicken of the woods with the mix. Dip beaten egg and then fry. Bloody good. This also works with pork loin, chicken, fish.
  2. I'll be there on the Friday. Unable to stay however as i have a wedding the next day. I would love to personally thank all those that have supported me in many ways since my accident. I will be easily recognisable on my mountain trike so please come and say hello.
  3. Been looking at the relationship between the natural and the man made and with a bit of thought and luck they can compliment one another.
  4. Cool. Some fine trees around our parts, we should hook up sometime.
  5. Wednesday eve. I live ten mins away in Whitchurch. What are up to?
  6. Stanton Drew standing stones (minus the stones)
  7. Will be interesting to see that in a year or two.
  8. So today my brilliant Sister completed the marathon and in the process raised nearly £5000 for Aspire. What an amazing effort. Thanks to all for you contributions and encouraging words. She very much appreciated everything you all done.
  9. Sepia. could you have a quick look at my Fire damaged Ash thread and tell me what you think. I kno w. Budgets are tight and it depends who is in charge etc and what their priorities are but do you think this tree is worthy of spending on? Cheers.
  10. Are these the ones from your personal mishaps scrapbook?
  11. Can't believe you didn't make him use his Silky:001_rolleyes:
  12. So I've been thinking about this tree and went to see it yesterday again and feel it is definitely worthy of intervention so hopefully council will feel the same. We shall see.
  13. Thanks mate much appreciated.
  14. There are various threads on the forum relating to body language. Here is one of them. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/fungi-pictures/21371-body-language-decay-delights-d.html
  15. Right it's one of you on here i bet. Now who is it?
  16. Unfortunately another fine veteran tree seriously damaged by fire. Its great to see the Council did not take drastic action by removing it though. Judging from callousing etc it was a while ago but good to see this tree is still standing proud and with the right management it could still be with us for a time yet. Wondering whether to maybe approach Council and get this well used desire line redirected away and possibly plant species such as Blackthorn around it to protect even more?
  17. Love this time of year.

    Lazy Oak

Interesting to see that within this line of Oaks one of them is way behind the rest of them in its leaf flushing. It appears to be a bit older than the rest but not sure if that would be a contributory factor? Or it is just plain bloody lazy?
