  2. yes you can not the best course of action, but i have reduced 10 or so in the last year (at most 15%) to good effect.
  3. just compare this real one with the fake one.... edit: beat me to it!!!
  4. great saw if you keep it sharp!! don't expect 260 performance, though
  5. 2 and a half hours of hard hitting 'wake the _ up' film... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z9WVZddH9w]YouTube - ZEITGEIST: MOVING FORWARD | OFFICIAL RELEASE | 2011[/ame]
  6. that's the smilie of a guilty man!
  7. I think it's more bad than good. Public access to woodlands is vital and some people won't want that after buying a load of acres (If i had the cash i would buy some and make it better for people to wonder around and explore). There are so many other ways the government could save money. What a shame.
  8. i think so, probably around 12 ish? you probably heard us coming with the old chipper clattering about!
  9. sent you a pm mate
  10. i'm pretty sure we passed that landrover tipper and another arb truck between watton and dereham the other week. they didn't even wave! (only joking, we didn't either )
  11. thanks for the heads up, that quite a good price aswell. i'll save my pennies and try to go for the may assesment.
  12. we are based near thetford, i can ask the boss and pass on your number if required.?
  13. your mate owed YOU a favour, so you paid him £80!!!?? bloody hell! how much would you pay him if you owed HIM a favour!? we had a 'can you just' type customer - spec was to leave rings/logs in situ and she wanted them all taken to her log store, about 100m away! there was about 2 tonnes of syc.
  14. not sure, they were running all the way up an old wound from 10' up to 40' the bark was peeling away with loads of sooty stuff underneath. there wasn't any brackets on the base of the tree.
  15. I can't say i have ever snedded up with an 88!
  16. It did go through like butter at points! Bit of a brown pants moment when a big limb, slightly leaning, didn't have any good holding wood and it went suddenly after i put an inch back cut in - the hinge was about 80% of the section! Don't think breckland council are ready for bart
  17. Horrible, dead syc dismantle from today. I was quite happy when sitting on top that i hadn't come to any harm! and a LA spec extended limb reductions on an oak. Not terribly exciting pictures, sorry.
  18. no problems mate. it wasn't my intention to pimp it out as a design idea, just a bit of fun. i'm looking forward to seeing AT merchandise in the future
  19. feel free to chuck it on a t-shirt, although that's the highest res image i have. it could be redesigned from scratch by an artist (i'm no artist!), to allow for more detail when enlarged.
  20. haha - i was looking for a slack wrist or some kind of link
  21. A different kind of evolution to the picture i made a while ago (below). Here is arbtalk in .... October 2007 Arbtalk, discussion forum for arborists - Powered by vBulletin April 2008 Arbtalk, discussion forum for arborists - Powered by vBulletin July 2008 Arbtalk.co.uk

    Saw Pod

i honestly can't remember where i got it for £15, maybe ebay. here's a link for a good price SAWPOD ARBORIST TREE PRUNING SAW HOLDER LEG STRAP on eBay (end time 07-Feb-11 11:52:55 GMT) you might get it cheaper if you are buying lots of stuff from an arb supplier, but on it's own, with vat and postage it's likely to be £23+ so that ebay link is prob the best price.
