  4. Cheers Reg... Yes you are right, that would have been a great idea... Me and the crew have done some big takedowns together in tight circumstances... and usually he is as smooth as they come, 'suave' in Spanish. He is Mexican, and sometimes won't take on board instructions, do to language barriers..... I try my best. I think the fact he was standing so far from the bollard might have had something to do with it maybe...
  5. Thanks for your thoughts mate... It wasn't too chilly, a balmy 3 celcius... We tried to do the job on Friday, but -13 was far too cold for all that rigging/standing about. Re Cosby on the rope, we were using the Stein device, which we hardly ever bring out to play, normally just a Porta-wrap. I think he was being over cautious, maybe 1 too many wraps.... I cant have him up the tree cutting, he's a great guy, but not technical rigging/cutting. For the larger bits, I was using a different sling, I think its Tenex, TBH I dont like it, it was much more giving than stable braid, as in it flexes alot more. Need to get some new slings!

  8. Here was todays job... I couldnt make it anymore interesting without a crane or helicopter Its just treework. Thats what we all do right (The stein doesnt come out too often and it shows with my excellent groundsman having maybe 1 too many wraps. We get the job done.) [ame] [/ame]
