  1. Same, I remember just before the first attempt, waking up being told they were going to try again, then waking up before the op but had to wait as a bloke was being resusitated next to me
  2. I might be able to make it, just depends how the ankle is
  3. I guess I was lucky then, they tried to put my broken/dislocated ankle back twice, then gave up and sent me for an op stright away:001_smile:
  4. This is a good site: Make your own biodiesel: Journey to Forever If your running it on straight, you might need to heat the bio fuel up before it goes into the engine as it can be too thick in cold weather, and run diesel through the system so it starts on diesel as it may struggle to start in cold weather. I've got a friend who has converted his L200 and has a system that runs pritty well.
  5. Do you want to run it on straight bio or mixed?
  6. Have you any evidance of this??
  7. Think Harper Adams University College run something long those lines, well i've seen people being tought to use backpack sprayers anyway. Dave.
  8. My first car was an Austin Healey Sprite mk4, 1275cc engine, £600 insurance, tax exempt and it was a soft top! Great fun and very simple to maintain.
  9. I think luck has a lot to do with it, i've given up trying to find any grants and i've just broken my ankle so everything is down the swanny as they say!
  10. atree: I cant see any downside to taking glucosamine, I know its been just over a week and my ankle isnt acking much at all, so i'll carry on taking them!
  11. Its funny my ankle broke by just falling backwards, just shows how carful you have to be! The surgeon reckons i'll be back on ground work in 6 weeks, (well 5 now 1 week has almost gone), and i'm hopeful once the ligements and bones have healed i'll be back to full health! Drinking milk is a good idea, used to have a pint a day when i was a wee lad, thought that might have reduced to risk of this sort of thing, obviously not! I'm taking glucosamine (not sure on spelling), thats supposed to help joints and ligements i think!
  12. Cheers for the good wishes! Its a case of "should have tied that knot a bit tighter", the surgeon says I should be back to work in 6 weeks and climbing in 10 weeks, and as i can feel the muscles twinging i'm guessing thats a good sign! Well I suppose it gives me time to catch up on all those things you never quite get round to doing normally! Dave.
  13. Hi, I had a bit of bad luck last friday, I managed to break my ankle in 3 places, tor all my ligaments and dislocate it, I had a 3.5 hour op where they put plates in my ankle! Just wondered if anyone has had a similar injury and how long it took to heal? Bordom is setting in now, I can only watch so much channel Dave! lol Dave
  14. I see, well that sounds grand! Have to see about buying it now then! Cheers for the help!
  15. Hi, Does anyone know how the "after sales" seat fits on to the butterfly 2 harness, and it looks like there are leg loops on the seat as well, so are there two lots of leg loops once the seat is fitted? I pressume it will be equivalent to the dragonfly after? Any info would be great! cheers Dave
  16. Thanks for sharing that, I think that'll be my last ditch attempt at getting funding as everywhere else seems to send you round in circles!
  17. Yea thats what i'm finding, either you have to be on the dole, or they just send your round in circles, like hitting your head against a brick wall!
  18. Cheers, i'll follow those leads up!
  19. Hi, does anyone know if there are any places I could look to find funding to take my NPTC CS38? Cheers Dave
  20. Now thats a good one! but saying that I have earned £15 in tips this week so far!
  21. Thats some amazing riding, good on him!
  22. Hi Jonesie, I've been to Buxtons today and tried all their harnesses on, and I decided the Komet dragonfly would be a good choice for me, could you let me know what price you sell them at and the p&P?

    Cheers, Dave.

  23. If teflon is non stick, how does it stick to the frying pan?
