    forgot to mention, first set where found under a birch in an area of predominently birch with one or two prunus and crataegus second set where under a prunus with only two prunus anywhere near the area are they too also Russula?

    yeh no problem, i'll be on holiday till the 27th august (i'll take the book for some beach reading:lol: (yes that is sad) so can drop it off/post/meet etc when i get back:thumbup:

    got myself the short straight (sharp) one, but how do you use the bendy one? can't quite get the technique right so all i whittle is shrooms:blush: coz i can do them with the straight knife alone!
