  1. I have a client with a large amount of trees on there property and they have taken out a insurance for emergency tree work. when property or life is in danger. They want me to deal with there management company if I was to be called out if any problems arise. Is there any advise anyone could give me regarding evidence for there insurance company. obviously photos of the tree and any damage. Anything else I should be doing to cover myself. Thanks in advance.
  2. Would it be worth waiting a while before replanting to see if any honey fungus comes up . wont be doing replant until the autumn.
  3. Thanks for all your replies. I will let client know couple of choices of trees so she can choose. yes I will be getting the stump ground out. The trunk is straight as a arrow wondering if may be of use to anyone shame to use it for firewood.

  5. I’ve a client with a mature copper beech [approx 70ft tall] it appears to have Beech bark disease. Tree has TPO on it and TO already had a look at the tree. Any suggestions on a good replant to replace the Beech when down. Client is looking for a substantial tree to replace it with.
  6. I have a 8x6 Ivor Williams trailer with a wooden floor which is on its way out. Has anyone replaced them and is it a straight forward job. Also if anyone can recommend where to get the flooring from I’m looking for genuine Ivor William floor. Im in Dorset.
  7. I’ve a client I work for I submitted a TPO application it was refused so he put in for a appeal ( He was aware of the 28 days notice) to appeal. He called me today to say the appeal was received after the 28 days and so not accepted. He wants to know is there anything he can do to proceed with the appeal or not. This is a new one for me so help or advice would be a big help. Thanks in advance.
  8. My ms201 is struggling to start in the heat. seems ok first thing in morning but as the day goes on won’t start. had it infront of the aircon in the van for a few minutes then seemed to be ok. anyone else finding this and any suggestions on how to sort it out.

  10. Go to go into a playground area then we barrow it in from there
  11. Already asked haulage contractors but haven’t got a large enough hiab. my problem is no side access only roadside which is on a hill. from the pavement it’s a 4ft brick wall and a large slope which is covered in ivy, shrubs and crap from the pavement to the top of the fence panel it’s about 20ft up and about 15ft wide from the pavement. total verge is inaccessible to cross. crane is only way.
  12. Can't do it. access is only 2ft wide and have to bend in half under a conservatory down steps I wouldn't walk my dog down. This is why im looking for a crane otherwise I would get the barrows out.
  13. I will be there whilst the children are there unfortunately so I will need CRB. But thanks for the reply.
  14. I am looking for anybody in the Bournemouth area who has a small crane I'm looking to get approx 15 dumpy bags of wood chip off a haulage lorry and put it over a fence. The distance from the pavement to the fence is approx 15ft and is about 20ft high to lift over.
  15. Can anyone help me with finding the best place to get CRB checks from. There seems to be lots of companies offering there services but are charging different prices. Just have to get checks done as got a contract working in a children's nursery. Thanks in advance.
  16. I was always looking at the costs of chippers. I looked at a lot of cheaper ones and I always went back to the greenmech cs100. I thought if I couldn’t pay off in one go get a very small loan from the bank and buy the best I can. I am always thinking buy good buy once or pay double for the cheaper versions.
  17. Looked at the jo beau. But I was impressed with the green mech also I got it for £4000 plus vat which was a very good price. My local greenmech dealer is also local which is a help. The whole chipper impressed me and I want to have something that will last and hopefully keep its price when I have to say goodbye if I want to move up to something larger.
  18. I’ve recently bought a new cs100 and absolutely love it. Got a hour clock put on to help with servicing and seeing how long jobs take. I do a bit more sneding but makes my life easier. Took me a long time to take the plunge wish I did it ages ago. Easy to service and move about. Because of its size can get round back gardens and save on the dragging. I’m educating all my clients to take the chip on there beds. Can’t review on long term yet but I’ll keep it looked after and keep blades sharp and hope it will make my life easier for years to come.
  19. I’ve just been out today and given my cs100 it’s first run out. Absolutely chuffed to bits with it . Was able to get it in the van which was a great help no dragging trailer about. Had a hour clock put on and was amazed to see how much it went through it in the time. So pleased no more dragging and filling up the trailer and having to pay to get rid of it. Just send it over the beds and client happy there getting there beds mulched.going to look for more chipping work and my lads are happy bunny’s as don’t have to graft as hard. Everyone a winner.
  20. Thanks for the reply. Didn’t have a cost on aspen at the moment. What would anybody recommend to do if chipper was to be stored for a while to keep it running good. I’m looking to use it as much as possible but I do garden maintenance as well so may not use much during the summer months.
  21. I have just got myself a green mech cs100 and won’t be using it on a daily basis and wondering if anybody uses aspen in there woodchipper. Just trying to look after my chipper for as long as I can and won’t have to remove any old petrol before starting up if the machine has been stored for a while. would using aspen effect my warrantee?
  22. Eco compost tip site at Hurn by the airport. Only one I know about.

  24. Ive just picked up a brand new CS100 today from New Forest Farm Machinery cost £4000 plus vat had a hour counter put on total cost was £4968.Absolutly chuffed to bits with it been looking for a long time and like that I can get it round the back of gardens so no more long dragging and I can keep my eyes on it.
