Saw a Copper beech today,12 months ago we noticed some honey fungus at the base of the tree,some deadwood with jews ear on the limbs. had it looked at by a consultant who said it may of been stressed by the dry previous summer,course of action was deadwood tree and keep an eye on it. went and saw it today coming out of the ground in the line of the drip line was fungus looking like grifola frondosa and also a yellow sulphur looking mushroom coming from a butruss.sorry no pictures will get them over the weekend. would this be a grifola or meripilus just it looks a lot more like a grifola.can amyone say if grifola affects beech as I took it only affects oak and hornbeam. thanks in advance will get pictures over weekend.

Went round today to see privet and the first thing she said to me was oh its got new buds and regrowing again. But thanks for all your advice,espesially easy lift guy,will have guarantee in writing next time so there is no come backs,may of worried over nothing but i think things are going to be tough these next few years so any bad press is no good. God didnt she look stupid, i walked away with one hell of a smile.

stay small. always working. keep staffing levels down then they always working. be honest with clients. work hard. and be able to sleep at night.will do for me.everything else will then come along.

at the end of the day if i have to walk away at least i can hold my head high without any worrys as i dont advertise hardly 98% of all my work is word and mouth i feel i can give the client half an hour i know catch 22 but i always think of my business first even if the client is wrong.

will offer to clear weeds and scratch test privet i know none will be dead will show her green wood only take half hour then thats it will also have written letter in van explaining what ive done as goodwill gesture then she can pick the bones out of that. will tryto get good outcome but if it did go further at least she cant say i did nothing to resolve situation even after this length of time.

fair enough the contract was with me but after 2 years she cant have a leg to stand on can she. the job was for suppling and installing privet hedge i gave advice when left water keep ground clear of weeds but was only verball
