  1. i would say it was a case of being cautious and i think i would of done the same that close to the size of them limbs coming off its a case of being preperd good job james buy the way alot of people wouldnt even take on a dismantle with a crane so hat off to you.
  2. they never are mate mine wasnt when i said iam getting the thor magik when i stiil had a oxdale 10 ton splitter it was a case of your got one why you want to get that for you know what they are like.
  3. to be honest ive just brought a thor magik and i found the oxdale easier to operate and quicker to use than this and with the thor every time i put it in the barn i have to take the table of then let the ram down which i didnt have to do with the oxdale one and its a pain.
  4. go on treat yourself i would love that that is one serious splitter if that wont split nothing will.
  5. theres one on ebay at the minute ends in 8 days. wish i didnt get the thor magik now lol.
  6. yes i had one sold it on ebay about an hour ago not a bad splitter for the money. for tree surgery waste ok but its like anything you get what you pay for its a fast action ram to be honest theres not a lot it wont split ive had 3to 4 foot round oak rings and it just split them in half no probs ideal for what our looking for i would say.
  7. or houghton hall estate they have just had a lot of big hardwood felled still laying on the deck.

  9. yep same here love my 550 so far nothing to moan at and yes 346 is still a very good saw but for me the 550 has the edge have change change is good think the fuel you will save.

  15. iam converted i was a stihl lover with a 200t 261 441 660 but know have all them minus the 261 and a 346 xp 357 xp and the new 550 xp iam now on the husky side of the fence.
  16. i love my little 550 xp but it is noticibly louder than the 346. but whos worried.
  17. well they could a least get the colours to match for a £500 saw.
  18. anyone whos got a 550 xp could you tell me if your pull cord casing look a completly different colour orange to the rest of it as mine is a lot lighter orange.
  19. ive got 10 ton 3 point linkage oxdale for sale run of tractor hydraulics.
  20. you could proberly get a belt from either ernest does or johnson brothers in fakenham if you was to take it off and take it in there to match it up.

  24. yehr theres some big old trees on the estate if i remeber right king timber from cromer do most of there forestry work ie harvester forwader work.
  25. my relations husband is the game keeeper on the estate and my dad works for a farm what farm most of the land.
