  1. If its not in a conservation area and there are no TPOs then there are no restrictions. I cannot see how the council are insisting on anything if this IS the case? The situation becomes more confusing at every turn....
  2. I fear that you are right- unfortunately with these people there is no end to their wanton selfishness at the detriment of their and everyone else's environment.
  3. Doesnt it have a former/ present use for the beds of plant trailers?
  4. Can you educate the neanderthals amongst us as to what the C&G stands for pls... edit....City and Guilds??
  5. So janey is there NOTHING that can be done to change this set-up? As an industry can we make a difference? (I am assuming not btw)
  6. It was pi$$ funny though hodge!!! On a serious note, the husky sounds just right Jonny 5. If you havent already, get some basic training too- you can do a 2 day LANTRA course that will show you how to maintain your saw, and some safe cutting techniques etc for about £180 down here, and you will soon save that on doing your own repairs etc,
  7. Id be right up for that- I can ring a few pikies and new age travellers who can go and break in and have a huge party and squat the place and generally trash it...... nice to dream isnt it lol
  8. I hope that is true. Can you email Poole Borough Council and tell them. This has ruined my day.
  9. I grew up round there and saw the mega-rich ghetto-ification of that area. They are all total scum in sandbanks (well- the newcomers anyway). That makes me so sick. I reckon i know the trees they are referring to.
  10. Sorry, couldnt resist. It makes good firewood when dry, and was traditionally used for cart beds etc. I saw some advertised on ebay once. Have faith, it will go!.
  11. Quite agree. I can rent off other surgeons for 80+vat down here (not that i need to mind- although i did rent a tracked machine not so long ago- the vermeer is a little large to drag into a soft woodland!) I was pointing out their price as that ought to be taken into consideration when working out a price for you and machine for the day...
  12. It depends what you have to chip and what chipper you have.....small chipper=longer job but less running costs...bigger machine = quicker job but costs to suit. I want in the region of 200/ day if ocal and the material is clean. Bear in mind that to hire a 6" tow behind from A-plant will cost 180+VAT for a day....
  13. MOst reliable is prob the toyota. All the other jap / ford are toys for hairdressers...
  14. Jamming your spikes in too hard (usualy done by inexperienced people or people who have blunt spikes) will damage your knees in the long run..
  15. Great- olly would love that- he fancies himself as a bit of a 'Bailey'!!
  16. Stunning burrs there. i had a pretty nice lump a while back.. Theres a couple of threads- it was an exciting project that ended up at the eden project! http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/9936-route-work-today.html http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/12348-burry-burry-oak-oak.html
