I am looking for someone who will know 2 weeks or more in advance which days they have available to work, so I can book in jobs to fit around you. Or if you are at college for example and want to work the same day or two every week that would work well too. (I have had a fireman work for me in the past which worked well as I would put in work to fit around their schedule.) Ive seen that on 2 common oaks before very severly and all the way round. Been wondering for months what caused it, but the crowns on both of them looked to be in perfect health still somehow.

If a tree is unsuitable for the site instead of topping it or heavily thinning, it makes more sense to fell and replace with a tree which will be well suited to the site. a topped tree will cost a lot more money with future inspections, pruning and will usually greatly reduce its lifespan. Id rather see a tree felled and replaced than topped if its in the wrong place. If money is no issue for him then id top or "pollard" but wait a couple of months for its energy reserves to build up and repeat every 5 years or so. What type of soil does he have?
