  1. mozza u been on the plonk again ,if your thinking of a 441 ,get it with a 20" bar i used my mates with 25" ringing up a chestnut & it didnt like it ,some what under powerd for that bar ,may be ok on soft wood ,but i do like mi 361,s:thumbup1:
  2. i dont think the basic,s have changed, we still use the high anker wide angle thery wich has been round for yrs ,but the equipment & techniques employed in using them have changed ,plus the job has aquierd premdona stateus ,not sure were or why that came in to tree work but it has ,but the climbers 15 yrs ago had a lot less kit to hand ,so realy that makes them better,we had to make do with old 3,strand ,make a bow line ,then make yr prussik loop ,out of the same rope ,no strops,use other end of your rope pig tails & all , .............
  3. they did the same thing in huddersfield yrs ago & the guy was fryed big stye ,found bits of body & stihl saw ,nobody claimed the remians
  4. looks like it can take a good sized chip box what engine sizes ,looks like a lot off electrics in the cab ,i think that may get a few arborist devorced
  5. mozza 11kv cable ,tryd cutting thru it with a saw ??
  6. just read on local news, some theiving scum cut thru 11kv cables & is in hospitle ,unfortunaty injuries are not life threatning ,so will be back on the rob in a couple of months ,somtimes thers no justice ,but @ least hes in pain

  8. works out @ 266hrs per yer ,5.1 hrs per wk ,not over houred when look @ it like that ,but hows been used for them 6,yrs, has it been well used & looked after or just abused by numtys ??

  12. well dressed spikes & time ,will pay its own dividends stick @ it lad ,the way i was tought to sharpen spikes was do the in side face ,to keep it uniform ,then again northern electic could be wrong after 80yres
