Hello. se7enthdevil has asked me to try to contact you as you're not rteplying to him! Are you there?!

Cheers,

Jon

  2.

Morning Rod. Hope this finds you well.

Months ago you recommended Scott's of Hever to me; I haven't forgotten about it, just not got round to it! But on the subject of milling do you have any idea if Treespanner is up and running? I messaged them via iSurrey from the 'spanner website a few days ago but haven't heard anything back; not a surprise really. If I'm over that way I'll take a trip up Moon Lane and look for myself but I haven't been near there in ages.

Cheers for now,

Evening Alan (I'm assuming your name here!)

Re the Caithness log contact I'm awaiting reply. The guy concerned is a mate of my best man, the one farming on Noss Head. Ab (the farmer) is dead reliable so any delay won't be of his doing.

You won't be forgotten!

Cheers,

Morning Clive.

I'm sure you'll pick this up anyway but just in case not... I thought of you as you asked me to remember you if I ever encountered cedar, having failed to contact you when I did!

Cheers,

That sounds fair Steve; thanks. I'll keep with that awful petrol stuff then but, as you say, emphasise the need to empty before storage (oil too to prevent crusty stuff!).

Cheers ears.

That McCulloch; it'll be OK on Aspen won't it. I'm nagging the buyer to use it as the saw won't be so much as looked at for months at a time.

Well well; Luke didn't hang onto that for long did he. Yes, a great little machine. Heavy as hell by modern standards but it can do just what my contemporary Jo Beau can do but I can pull/lower that off the back of the pickup with ramps; no way could I do that with the 'busta.

Are you in Lincs too?

Good buy!

  8. John:

If you want to try out an Arb Trolley before buying give us a shout. I'm sure I could manage without it for a week or so.

  9. Jon:

Sorry this is so late but only got back from Devon Sundat afternoon, then Arbtalk died, then I went away 6.30 Monday morning but heartfelt thanks for your help at the farm. It is hugely appreciated by all there; they're fully aware of just what a bargain they got! I expect I'll be back with it in the summer extracting the boughs up into the orchard and working them there!

I think I picked a good week to go away; work must have been a struggle for you - not funny.

    Al the best,

    Jon

  10. Morning Jon. 07763 226729. Are you OK with the directions? Easter Ridge Farm is the name of the place for when you reach the top of its lane.

Hope Santa was kind; brought me a combi can and a rope bag!

    Cheers,

    Jon

  11. Excellent. You want EX16 8HU but on Google maps don't go to Well Town: at the end of Daggeridge Plain (single track lane) keep straight, over the cattle grid and down the private concrete road as far as you can (~200yds). That's it.

  12. Jon:

We still on for Cadeleigh in the New Year? Hope so. Sat 2nd Jan is probably favourite isn't it? I'll be travelling down New Year's Day, Friday, back on the Sunday!

As soon as I know for sure from you I'll send address/directions.

    Have a good Crimble.

    Regards,

    Jon
