  1. thats weard mate,is it a mistel thrush?,me and the mrs found a grass snake in our bath room the other year freaked her out

  3. these laws need clarification, by markbolam,that would be good people dont know whats a scare story or truth ,its in a loler inspectors interest to say them as at the end of the day they make money from it

  6. may be if hse paid places more visits there would me no need for a lot of the checks as people would make sure they on top of things are forestry and arb hse inspections a urban myth i have only had one pay us a visit when was working on street trees years ago and that was only because he was passing and i been working on trees for 15 years,the place i work now has hse check our tractors and farm equipment and some forestry kit but never had one visit that has knowledge on forestry and arb
  7. the good i see in loler is employees can have warn and old kit replaced with no question but apart from that it another job created that dont get the job done
  8. now that is a serious bit of kit ,looks like a good pay load it can take ,can you get about 10 ton of wood on it?

  11. nice to see you growing on your yew clipping dean,i am not to sure of the company but can find out but our gardeners sell the young green yew clippings for cancer research or treatment dont think it loads of money but still worth it
  12. alaskan mills are great if you go for the larger rail set will save you money if you upgrade your saw one day , rob d your man, great service he provides

  15. iam i right in saying insurance is not valid if dont have loler check on climbing equipment and lowering ropes ,no matter how little use it get i sure i know the answer but would like comfirm it
  16. how do you mount your controls mate? we had a frame made up that goes on 3 point linkage that of set the controls to one side good if your seat can turn a bit to.best situation would be a seat that turns right round as you will find out when you get a stiff neck and back from twisting in seat,apart from that i find it a fun job my trailer called a 10 tonne trailer but can only get 3-4 tonne on it how much do you think you get on yours:001_smile: ,
  17. nice crane ,i think the stearing draw bar great, trailer can almost take the same tracks as the tractor when turning tight and very helpful for getting extra reach does me good on thinning areas and getting round chestnut coppice stumps,have fun with your new toy when it fixed and get your practice in with it sort of bit of kit that takes lots of hours to get good and up to speed on:001_smile:
  18. hi mate does it still do it after it has been pulled out full then pulled in under load to get it coiled neat on drum
  19. hi david hows work and you ,finished cutting chestnut this morning and spent the rest of the day taking tree planting tubes and stakes to area to be done this year starting hedge tomorow so be nice to have a change for a while

  20. hi mate did u mean a seasoned load of logs on a 8 wheeler at 10 tonnes,i was thinking more around 18 tonne for a green load

  22. nice cuts mate on the beech it harder than it looks to mimick breaks we have started to do a few about the place away from gardens up in the woods as not everybodys cup of tea yet ,made a natural fracture using my crane grab other week :001_smile
  23. i found temping for the council cutting grass was a good job that put me in the right path for finding tree work when i was out of work, good luck with finding a job:001_smile:
