  1. i find the secret to a good wind up is to keep it simple ans involve only the person who you are targeting. the minute robert got involved it wasnt funny, i only know him over text, you other 3 i know and have met, so i know your personalities. now i know he is up for a bit of a giggle then game on..
  2. just as well robert, i didnt want to have to quick march my way around the country sorting you lot of scallywags out:thumbup:
  3. it all depends on where you keep them and who you use, i would call the nfu, use my office, they seem to be the best in the country and easy to deal with. jennifer or willie on 01563 524 013
  4. thats great mate, looks like it is on parr with the greenmech. they are smaller chippers, but the fact that you dont have to drag anything, sweep up driveways and lawns and take away loads of stuff is great. mine ran out of fuel on my last branch today. i reckon a full tank has done approx 4-5 hrs.
  5. all i can think of is you guys have been doing some pm'ing to try and get shreky. i know huck owes me one and i do spend most of my time trying to wind you guys up, but i dont want robert thinking this is true, the ninja stuff is funny, but the backstabbing can be taken the wrong way, and i have made a good friend of robert in the last few weeks, so i dont want him thinking i am a 2 faced git.
  6. i used to always have a fairy liquid bottle fool of chain oil, and put it along the blades every fill, i just stopped doing it one day. i think i should start. i do the same mate, a quick scoosh of wd40, but i found with the dehumidifier now in the container now the saws and stuff are so much dryer. and i always blast them down with the compressor after a wet day to
  7. yes thats right guys, i am a backstabbing ninja trained by the sas, i lul folk into thinking i am a nice guy then talk the back off them when they are not around. i especially like to target trained martial artists who could snap my kneck with a flying knee or some kind of death grip. i thought i had everyone fooled.
  8. i always take them out and clean them off and dry them first after a wet day, then one of the lads lost both of them in the one day. they are only really good for not catching stuff when they are on. i never replaced them.
  9. stuart that must be the most horrible tree i have ever seen in your avatar mate, wouldnt fancy a swing from that.fair play to you
  10. this is going to get good now
  11. the conifers werent in my original quote or the bigonias. so she was delighted. and her dad has got a pile of firewood. it was a 1 minute walk from my house, i started at 11 ish, went home for lunch and did some arbing for 30 mins then finished for about 4 pm. no worries. if i could of chipped closer to the tree i would of done her in about an hour, but i decided to just cut and stack, the customer wanted to bring her car in after. i am still using these jobs as experimental methods of doing things. so far so good. with a chipper that size, there is no point beasting it, if the operator is an idiot then it will get jammed up and stall i reckon. i an doing these jobs in a relaxed calm way and really enjoying it. it means i can afford to do them one at a time
  12. that is brilliant mark, we need to find that picture. lol
  13. raised beds are great, my dad got rid of all his grass out the back and built some and gravelled around them, so much easier to keep and a nicer height to work at
  14. never thought of that, it was a cracking tree, just wrecking everything around it and getting too big for her surroundings
  15. hi dave, on your second pic down on the birch, there is a little yellow thing right on a node, is that another fungi? nice pics tom, that is a beauty mate
  16. kettle bells?never heard of them, i will ask the instructor. i now have an image of a big kettle like bell thingy, havent seen those inthe gym. i need to stick at the flexibilty, if i dont it will be a waste of time going for more strength in my upper, because it is my lower back and hammies that allways let me down. any pics of said kettle bells robert?
  17. danish swirl dave, every time. i am back at the gym, i am working on flexibility and core strength.
  18. those 2 horrible golden conifers went through aswell, you know how thick and crappy they are and the bigonias got it too, and it gave me some more room forhte extra chip. the big surface root is huge, biggest i have seen for a tree that size. it isnt beechgrove garden but they are redooing the front anyway:001_cool:
  19. are you able to get his fights on here mick?i am really intrigued with this stuff just now.
