Having re-read a few times I'm sure there's a subliminal message somewhere. Now going to try playing it backwards.

Yes that brimstone is god damn awful stuff but it does make particularly beautiful butterflies. Ah.....oh to be in England

Too late...I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees and I grazed them.

Excusable. Thought by some to be a cover of 'missing' Robert johnson ditty but I'm sure this theory may have developed from over imbibing of canned heat which is sure lord killin me.

Are you entitled to legal representation here?
  7. Those limes look pretty cool. As said before...reminiscent of French plane pollarding. In that situation it's pleasing....so far away from 20' sticks.

How did I get to this thread? I am not a number!
  9. I'd go with that just gotta make it painful
  10. Just wondered how many of you engrave a name and postcode on your kit? Never know if it helps but I engrave crankcases and in 'hidden' places if I can. After three break ins...one of which ended with arson to cover tracks I put as many identifying marks on kit as possible.
  11. I think most contract prices increase at the same rate as the RPI...retail price index. Hope this helps.

    4X4 Advice??

Over 30 mpg? I reckon you're going to struggle to get that. L200 at mo and 25 on a good day with the wind behind. Have had Nissans, Isuzu and don't think I've ever got 30.
  13. I'd go with gunni. Careful on the reduction.....they respond well
  14. S*!t....that's where I've been going wrong
  15. Plenty of suggestions I've thought about not telling the LA and just closing but that's the day a blue light is going to come flying up the road and then we're in s!*t street. The road is just a shortcut between two others but the crane with legs extended needs 8 metres and that means hedgebank to hedgebank with crane so no way of room to spare for emergency vehicles. The tree is a big beech with Ganoderma and Meripilus = extensive dieback, on the top of a steep bank above the property. There's just no way to gain access through the property garden as it's thickly planted with prize maples etc....the owner's a gardening nut! Will try council with DDD...in their interests etc and see what they come up with.
  16. Spoke to county council recently about a closure on a very minor road. We need to get a crane in and this road doesn't service anyone at all. Previously they've sorted it out at no cost. They now want £1600 and 3 months notice. Anyone else been asked for this much?

    Old Elm

Elm hateth man and waiteth for him. An old saying for its propensity for SBD and its use in coffin manufacture. It also smoulders like the grave.....lots of superstition attached to it.
  18. My son's first tope. Only a little 'un....roll on summer.
  19. I'll always remember an old faller saying one day in his broad south shrops accent: 'Ay......you need a piece of f*$!in paper now to fell a tree:001_smile:
  20. Terylene multiplait.....zero stretch...was I the kiddie:001_cool:
