  1. .....still can't find any form of small compessor to clean saws on site(see earlier post).......so,would an iflated mini tyre tube have enough puff to clean 2 saws once? Or,would it need to be the size of a giant lorry tube strapped to a roof rack??? .....(am concealing my name so i don't look tooo stupid).
  2. are there major differences between Roundup,Gallup,Rosate,Clinic ace? I wish to eradicate nettles,weeds etc at home .

  6. Hi! I wish to peel some poles about 3 inch diameter and 6 feet long,too long to go on my shave horse........theres obviously something made to use in the woods to grip said poles,(two uprights and two crosspieces offset somehow,possibly called a "scratch").......any ideas?......Thanks!

  10. The best way of cleaning old tools is using the electrolytic method. All you need is a battery charger and a bucket. ......i'm intrigued,how does this work?

  13. .....i'm a bit hazy on the D7 exemption etc, i try to log as much as poss,chip as much as poss.....but still have loads to burn,usually easier and more controllable to bring home and burn as i have 3 acres and no neighbours,i have a waste carriers licence,but am i breaking the law by burning occaisonally at home(usually drinking a beer and having a BIG bbq..)or is there an easy remedy(burning licence?)......and as a tangential query,we have peacocks which eat most flowers apart from english marigolds and nepeta....any other flowers ?......cheers,c.

  15. ...........so,anyone deal with fragile gravestones and associated risks? have a tree reduction with graves below to do and considering a raised scaffold platform to contain sections lowered down,access is v.poor,about 8 feet wide to tree...........
  16. .......maybe find out why so cheap.....if its somebody elses wood,dont buy ,if it is inexperience,(someones first job)perhaps offer fiver above his price might just gain a good contact.........would this guy have got better advice if he'd been on a forum.................?
  17. ....i found with a cylinder,unless you cut every week it wouldnt cope with length or wet grass,whereas a honda rotary with roller would cut,in the rain and leave stripes,roller means you can cut over the edges without falling in,as with wheels,i found also that wheels leave ruts over time in the lawn.....also i dont put the stripes the same way every time,but cut to all points of the compass to avoid grass bending same way,then being missed.............(i had a 30" atco cylinder with a kawasaki engine,but sold for a vast loss to get a rotary)......hope this helps. c.

  23. ......the number of times i have "Husky" or "Huskie"used to denote Huskvarna..(other makes are available),and even if "Huskvarna"is used,I believe the proper pronunciation,phonetically would be something like... Hooskwarna...maybe some Danish speakers could give a definitive pronunciation to avoid further mis understanding....................
  24. ......so i hope its not in wisbech as i am starting a job this w/e under similar circs,including email acceptance............and works have already been done by others,i assume under highways as new signage erected................
