  2. We've certainly had lots of dealings with them. I've took a couple of large hedges down through ASBO orders but also had to take some beautiful stand alone specimens down!! I personally feel that reducing large conifer hedges is also the most dangerous job treesurgeons have to do!! They don't teach aerial rescue from a 15foot wide half dead in the middle with no anchor point rescue on your courses!! Haha. Here's a typical reduction
  3. Nice work stevie!! Looked like a nice big drop zone for some crash bang wallop??! Haha
  4. Here's a pic of the e2e armour pruss.
  5. Nice work rich,I like a good thin. Don't get many ask for that round here unfortunately. Nice work on the hedge nick!! Looks sweet mate. I don't have the patience for hedges,3/4 strokes with the cutters and I'm ready for topping myself!! Haha
  6. As long as you put some shrink tube around the stitched area and put this as close to the cocoon as you can then it retrieves sweet as!! I've not managed to get it stuck yet and believe me I've been trying!! Haha. In saying that though I've just recieved my drew b cone so time for an improved version me thinks!! Haha.
  7. Sorry it's not up to scratch mate! It's the best I could do. I'll get some better step ladders and long handled loppers next time!!! Haha
  8. Here's one of my new ropeguides I've made myself too. Although I'm hoping to have a much improved version in the near future??!
  9. This the kind of thing your thinking of gibbon? It's 16 strand endless loop splice. Nice work Collin, marlow ropes are a nightmare to do. The braided core on the 16 strands makes them bloody awkward!! Not sure if I've posted this before but here's a multisaver I make.
  10. It's an iPhone 4 mate. Got to use this app at the min as I've still not sorted my stupid laptop.
  11. Here a little beech tree rj from the other day. Just want to see if this tapatalk app works to be honest! Haha
  12. Nice work carl, looks smart. Not spliced hrt, how's it compare to bee line? I'll send that pm again later too mate, been away this weekend so not been on here.
  13. Very nice work mate!! I often find with the Sirius that I get a slight bulge or slight dent in the sheath as the strands are quite tight? I hate trying to mark black rope aswell!! Haha.
  14. Cheers mate and yeah all mine are class ones. Technically it should be a class 2 splice as its a core dependant splice but with the above figures im quite confident a class one splice will be adequate enough for a friction hitch! haha. Ive not forgot about the pictures either mate its just that i dont have a laptop and for some reason my stupid i-phone wont upload them to facebook! Ive tried emailing them too but it wont send them that way either for some reason:confused1:. I'll just have to send them to your phone for now bud. Craig-For the bury's mate i just use my standard measurements of 24x ropediameter.
  15. Looking good ben. I'd personally put the whipping closer to the eye though mate!! Haha. I had my eye to eye armour pruss destruction tested today. On a straight pull it broke at...........2.78 tonnes!!! I think once that's doubled up ina hitch it should be safe enough!! Haha. That was a class one double braid splice too.

..........yeah maybe I've won an I-phone!!" awesome film!!
  17. Cheers mate,I'm a little concerned that there not there ready as I posted them first thing Tuesday morning!! If there not there for saturday then let me know and I'll send some more out mate.

Yeah got your check Thankyou mate but I won't cash it until I know you've got your ropes.

  18. What length of wire do you insert mate? I insert mine before I do the bury. If my loops gonna be 30cm then I'll use a length of wire slightly longer and include it into the bury. Hope that makes sense? When it comes to the cross over in the rope guide it's just the same as normal except you've replaced the core with the sheath. You basically do your first splice as normal and then Mark the rope back up the other end and splice that end. Hole that makes sense too!!?? Haha
  19. Nice work guys:thumbup1:. Phenom_ To keep my eye open so the cocoon will retreive i insert some 5mm wire. Works a treat, ive yet to get it stuck and trust me ive tried!! Craig D_ Nice work mate. Have you thought about removing the core altogether when making your ropeguide and using the outer sheath as the new core? Then you can splice the retreival shackle on there too. What did you use to keep the eye open? I'll get some more pics of my work up soon as my laptops died:sneaky2:
  20. No worries mate, anytime. Don't worry about the scissors. I can't even think who's they are? I've just checked my splicing bag and all my kits there. Ah well consider them a bonus!! Haha. Have a nice Christmas bud.

  21. The main reason to have one is because they look stunning!!! Haha. I certainly don't need one but I shall probably buy one!!!
  22. Tell me about it mate!! Was 23 for 1 the other night and it just froze on me!!! Luckily though i dont usually start playing till gone 11 at night and the server seems to be much better. No school kids playing i imagine??!! I wasnt blown away with the game to start with but im now properly hooked!! Like it much more than MW2. Soon be on my third prestiege:biggrin: On another note it aint mush better on the xbox for freezing mate. I play it round at my mates and its just the bloody same!!!
  23. Alright bro! Got your rope this morning........finally!! Haha. I'll get it sorted this weekend for you and get it sent back for ya.

  24. is that the 22mm stuff you got a while ago mate? You'd have to drop some serious lumps to break that stuff!! Haha. Knock some loopies up mate there even easier aNd slightly more versatile.
