Andy. In Peterborough area.
4. just watch out there is usally a blow off valve on the top - hit that and it will empty! Protect that and the small pipe work and you should be ok.

Hi Reg, liking your vids as always! We did meet a few years ago briefly at an apf i think it was the launch of the arb trolley i think (which is a wicked product by the way!) I just wanted to ask if stein still produce the crane bag here in the uk? I have seen it for sale in australia and the us but cant find it anywhere here! We are currently doing a lot of crane removals at the moment and thought it was time to get one - your input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Andy.

10. cheers matey will have a gander!
11. Hi all, as per the title i have been asked to price for flailing a large area but it needs to be collected (dumped on site) I have a large tractor but the chap i used to hire one from has since sold up Does anyone know where i could hire something like this from or does anyone have one on here for hire? Site is in Peterborough and its flat but quite rough! Many thanks. Andy.
12. thanks for that, cheers lee i will sort stuff out and e-mail to you - many thanks.
13. Hi all, as per the title can anyone recommend a decent traffic management company near Hemmel Hempstead - as i need a price for a road closure/full diversion. Cheers Andy.
14. Dont blame you mate its awsome! Well worth doing. If you want any more info by all means ask matey.
15. Hi mate, i am an ex commercial diver by trade, bsac and padi instructor before all this tree stuff took over my life! Padi diver training is accepted worldwide and is a far quicker way to get qualified than through the bsac - although the bsac is a more indepth course and does cover a greater scope but too long winded for the holiday diver in my opinion. If you go down the padi route i would suggest you do the open water diver and the advanced open water diver course for your own safety and piece of mind. Hope this helps. Cheers Andy.
16. Pm me your details buddy as i have just recently merged companies (November) we do lots of work mainly in the Cambridgshire, Northants and lincs areas and contracts do vary in size - there is many a time we are looking for extra labour so might be of interest/help to you. Cheers Andy.
17. I do a fair bit of work in the US and the company i mainly work for have several of these machines and they are wicked! Great on all sorts of wood wether knotty or straight and mega quick compared to anything i have used here in the UK. Shame i dought they will get anywhere near getting a CE mark though. I would like one did look into a couple of years ago but the lack of CE put the mockers on that one:thumbdown:
18. Cheers for the reply - i will need to confirm with client but i was working on doing 3in slabs straight through - if i was using the alaskan. Cheers Andy.
19. Hi all, I have a large Oak fell job coming up soon and the client has requested to have the main stem milled, it is in a rear garden so trailer mounted mill is a no go. Too much and too time consuming for my Alaskan so i wondered if anyone has a Lucas mill in or would be prepared to travel to the Cambridgeshire area (near Peterborough) i havent got the measurements yet but i would estimate it would be a REALLY good day poss day and a half with the Alaskan. If interested would you be able to give me a guide/day price inclusive of travel, fuel etc so i can inform my client of cost. Tree will be coming down in the next 4 to 5 weeks. Private message if you prefer. Many thanks. Andy.
20. No great shakes just seam old school to me, i know when i have worked in the US the only PPE that is set in stone is eye protection and nothing else! What i do want to know is who is going to clear and pick through that massive brush pile!! Happy days reminds me of 25years ago
21. hi i have an upcoming job Sept/Oct that requires a skyline in cambridgeshire area need to know if anyone has the kit and is interested. Not a massive job about 1500 - 2000tons to come out. But further blocks to clear fell over the next two years. Please get in touch for full details. Cheers Andy.
22. We use a 4.8m set and a 3.3m set and they are wicked! As said already they are so light you dont hesitate to get them off the truck and use them! The only gripe i have is that the 4.8m are a pain to transport because of the length but this is only a small gripe as when needed they are invaluable. We went for the big ones first as we had lots of high stuff to do then got the smaller ones for the everyday type work - binned all the regular steps now as these are ace!
23. Hi mate, i was quite big and got on really well with a weaver 1038(i think) as it is american it allows for the larger climber - it's really hard wearing too.
24. Hi all, Just a heads up i am going to be clearing with a digger (in about two weeks time) approx 2acres of large semi mature nursery stock that has got to big to be hand dug and root balled. The field is now sold (stc) so i have to get it cleared. It seems criminal to put them through the chipper! Stock consists of mixed ornamental Conifer species and laurel, all ranging 8-12' in height- some bigger. All will be bare rooted. Please see pics (sorry camera is not great). If any of you are interested its collection only from my yard near Peterborough prices will be cheap and would on the amount you want. Any questions give me a call 07710632790 or pm me through here. Cheers Andy.
25. I had a smart phone for a year and a half but was always annoyed when trying to operate the touch screen with damp or wet fingers! Just wouldnt do anything. I took a gamble and have now got (imo) the best and most practicle phone i have ever had its called an outphone looks a bit like a landrover phone but higher spec. Works just like a Nokia, its waterproof to 5metres, crushproof to 3tonnes, battery lasts over two weeks before charging overall an outstanding phone - not as flash as a smart phone granted but great for our work environment!
