  1. Thanks for the link treedave:thumbup1: Charlie, when I was typing this thread I just knew you'd be the man to answer it :thumbup:Thanks I'll let him know. We do have a big council run nursery just round the corner from me that sell to the general public, I'll pop in tomorrow.
  2. I see. Well if you change your mind you'd be more than welcome and dont worry about climbing kit, you could use mine.
  3. He's tidying the hinge incase you rip it to bits:laugh1: Nice work tommer:thumbup1:
  4. Is there such a thing?.....A friend of mine owns five acres which he rents out to horse owners, he asked me where he could buy laurels at a good price in order to hedge the boundary. Dont bother with Laurels there awful I said and went on to tell him the benefits of Hawthorne instead, better for birds and near impossible for anyone to clamber through etc etc. Then it dawned on me that if it were Hawthorne maybe theres a possibility of a grant from the EA or some other org so I said I'd ask for him on here.
  5. How about I take it to Cobham on the 21st?
  6. Just read the link:thumbup1:I'd like to see her burlesque routine:biggrin:
  7. Dean, dont worry about us the govt has flown down some emergency northern tit milk to keep us warm.....its gotta slight tang of black pud to it.

  10. I'm still listening to this.[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4dSEyaT6R8]YouTube - Never Forget You[/ame]
  11. Damn, she read your post Doug and now wants 50% of any profit for all the work she did while I was up the road in the 'Tuck Inn'...... Too late I spent all the profit on the gutbuster special with extra toast
  12. Yeah I reckon thats what killed it.
  13. What a pig to get out!!! Almost gave up at one stage but the wife said lets crack on and get it it done.....Haha teamwork.
  14. An easy little job to start the week with.
  15. I have the same engine in my chipper but I cant help with your problem cos I've never had an ounce of trouble with it. It does backfire when the revs are dropped though but all the little Honda engines do that. After reading your post again I see you had it running on a gentle slope, could there be too much oil in the sump and some has got into pot 2 ?
  16. Will deffo keep me eye open for that one, I love war films but when is someone gonna make a Brit film. I'd much rather see what our blokes went through.
  17. I'm certainly no expert but I doubt the larvae are causing the rot, more like the eggs are being laid there cos of the rot.
  18. Money pure n simple, after 27yrs it's hard to get excited about tree work. I can remember starting out on my own and being so excited that one day driving home after work I thought to myself I'd actually be gutted if I won the lotto, how sad is that. Not anymore though.
  19. Thanks Ian and Josh that is well appreciated and I may take you both up on it :thumbup1:It'd be worth the bar bill, I think:001_rolleyes: Nepia thanks, I'll see what it's like. Dave if we go lamping this weekend you can take some and see what you can do with it, I'll buzz ya about shooting.
  20. Yeah that bench was the biz, no good me attempting something like that though. I'll hook it out tomorrow, take some pics and see if it's worth selling. Shame about the rest though, If Ian lived nearer he'd be making spoons, bowls and all sorts out of it. I'm burning some this arvo and it's lovely, beats conny lol.
  21. I've never been a one for saving wood other than firewood but after seeing what some people can do with it (tommer, Rob D, Ian Leach and the like) I'm inclined to save what I can from this dead Walnut and put it to a better use. I'm gonna winch out the root ball and trunk tomorrow. Is it worth saving or should I just log it up and burn it?
