  1. Are they slippy ? Tuttle that sounds heavy scaffold planks and boards ?
  2. Quoted £ 75 for an 8 x 4 sheet at 3/4 " thick . This is from a local trailer guy . The wood is laminated birch with a smooth side and a non slip side . Will work out at two sheets as the trailer is 10ft x 5ft with limited waste . The guy can get me a one piece although it will cost more .
  3. Cheers will check it out
  4. Good idea Thanks for the heads up Canal Navvy
  5. Yes good point. Going to look at the Phenolic Prices now .Cheers
  6. That was a tad harsh especially when kids are involved . Hope you find another suitable dog
  7. Any body put a new floor on an ifor williams plant trailer ? Mines in need of replacing . Would Marine plywood be ok ? Any hints or tips would be welcome . Thanks
  8. Good post Ewan H/S Guy what a gonk Sack that muppet . I for one have met people like this in the real world ? Trained to train others lol . Believe me these people are dangerous . The best one was a midwife when my second son was born . She actually told my partner that it will hurt a little but dont worry most of the time things go ok . WTF after asking about her childbirth experiences and being told that she never actually had kids through choice made me totally disregard all her advice . I mean telling my partner I know it hurts but just push .To the point that I had another midwife replace the original .
  9. It was done by myself . Although if you want anything ported Spuds ya man
  10. To be fair Huck it was totally out of character for me . I regret I ever did it . To cut a long story short I gave this lad many a chance . Only to have it chucked back in my face time and time again . I only recently found out the reason why he was such a dreamer . He hated work not tree work any work and his father told him that if he lost this job he'd be out of the family home . The father was not happy to have him sitting at home and paying no lodgings . I really think that this lad would of left before this incident if it was not for his father demanding some sort of lodgings . I can't turn back time and I have learnt from this mistake . I still speak to this person and we now laugh about this incident . He does not work and generally is a waster . The guy is very aggressive at times which is why I decided to hit him as I thought he was about to hit me . Turns out he was all mouth . Theres more to this story ? Maybe I should of made it clearer at the time of posting . Hope this meets with your approval biggrin: I'm keeping the saw .
  11. A blessing in the right situation .Used for access into the tree only .
  12. Great saws especially when ported . Although your right is saying the Stihl is a better saw when working . Oh and for the Echo boys the little 25/26cc Top handle saw is loads better than the bigger brother which for 35cc or so puts out a terrible cutting performance . The small top handle is ok until you need to do some serious cutting the its out with the 020 or 338xpt both ported
  13. Did you ever get it ported then ? Mines still running ace ported way faster than the standard stihl
  14. Like this example very much
  15. If they are just not taking care because its not there job . Nip it in the bud rapid otherwise it will just get worse . I had a problem like this not to many years ago . When I did all my own climbing and just subbed in groundies . One guy in particular had a bad habit of tying on my 020 with a magic knot that would magically undo itself halfway up the tree . This then would cost me a small fortune in parts . He also would not listen to what you would tell him ie watch that shrub and move that statue before we start lowering stuff . He was good with the customer's but had no respect for any property other than his own . The last time he broke my saw , I came down from the tree and took his 026 off him packed up all the tools went back to the yard and then proceeded to land two crisp punches to his head . I did not pay him and kept his saw . I regret what I did that day but this frustration had built up over a considerable amount of time . Due to his total lack of respect . I now recognize the signs of stress and I'm happy with all the guys I work for and with
  16. I really enjoy reading your posts Andy but since when has carelessness been a human trait ?
  17. I try not to but the way the weather is in this country makes it near impossible not to work on a rainy day . I for one would be skint if I didnt work at all on wet days
  18. Well I will report back on Saturday after the meeting
  19. Going to talk with him over the weekend . Intending to carry out stump removal and explain that the other trees where over and above what we originally quoted and so will naturally incur extra charges . Then invoice him accordingly . So wish we had talked this over before
  20. Thanks for the reply
  21. Yes Should of put this in the underpriced thread lol . Sorry to all if the post is a little confusing .
  22. Hi all I originally did a quote to remove a number of trees from a customers garden . This quote included grinding the stumps out . We carried out all work apart from the grinding then were told to remove two other trees which had not previously been mentioned . Now the customer does not want to pay for the other two trees but still wants all the stumps removed . The customer has paid in full for the original quote of 5 trees and stump removal . The problem I have is the considerable extra work involved in the other two trees . So I have explained that these two other trees far outweigh the cost of grinding . I am reluctant to carry out grinding after removing the other trees . If grinding is carried out at the original price I will have done two trees for free and two stumps for free ? . Advice please
  23. No worries just thought you were going to or coming from a cs100 demo
