  7. I respect your honesty and hope it goes well for you . I for one don't really like hedge work . Trust is the key word here bear that in mind and you will do well
  8. I personally would be very careful passing on all hedge work as quite often this leads to a decent tree job . A lot of trust would be needed for this to work out. It could end up losing you a lot of work . I,m not being funny or having a go , its just how I see it
  9. Trouble with friends neighbors and families is that they love you when your doing the work , but as soon as you say I can't do it as I 'm busy at the moment . They tend to think your being a bit off . I will work for real friends and decent family members . They always offer money and I always refuse . Its the offer that counts
  10. All good here relentless climber . Your just missing a cinch or something similar for your lanyard . Hope all's good with you
  11. Cool I just checked your video out ( Maple in tight spot ) enjoyable .
  12. In that case nice one
  13. Are they slippy ? Tuttle that sounds heavy scaffold planks and boards ?
  14. Quoted £ 75 for an 8 x 4 sheet at 3/4 " thick . This is from a local trailer guy . The wood is laminated birch with a smooth side and a non slip side . Will work out at two sheets as the trailer is 10ft x 5ft with limited waste . The guy can get me a one piece although it will cost more .
  15. Cheers will check it out
  16. Good idea Thanks for the heads up Canal Navvy
  17. Yes good point. Going to look at the Phenolic Prices now .Cheers
  18. That was a tad harsh especially when kids are involved . Hope you find another suitable dog
  19. Any body put a new floor on an ifor williams plant trailer ? Mines in need of replacing . Would Marine plywood be ok ? Any hints or tips would be welcome . Thanks
  20. Good post Ewan H/S Guy what a gonk Sack that muppet . I for one have met people like this in the real world ? Trained to train others lol . Believe me these people are dangerous . The best one was a midwife when my second son was born . She actually told my partner that it will hurt a little but dont worry most of the time things go ok . WTF after asking about her childbirth experiences and being told that she never actually had kids through choice made me totally disregard all her advice . I mean telling my partner I know it hurts but just push .To the point that I had another midwife replace the original .
  21. It was done by myself . Although if you want anything ported Spuds ya man
  22. To be fair Huck it was totally out of character for me . I regret I ever did it . To cut a long story short I gave this lad many a chance . Only to have it chucked back in my face time and time again . I only recently found out the reason why he was such a dreamer . He hated work not tree work any work and his father told him that if he lost this job he'd be out of the family home . The father was not happy to have him sitting at home and paying no lodgings . I really think that this lad would of left before this incident if it was not for his father demanding some sort of lodgings . I can't turn back time and I have learnt from this mistake . I still speak to this person and we now laugh about this incident . He does not work and generally is a waster . The guy is very aggressive at times which is why I decided to hit him as I thought he was about to hit me . Turns out he was all mouth . Theres more to this story ? Maybe I should of made it clearer at the time of posting . Hope this meets with your approval biggrin: I'm keeping the saw .
  23. A blessing in the right situation .Used for access into the tree only .
  24. Great saws especially when ported . Although your right is saying the Stihl is a better saw when working . Oh and for the Echo boys the little 25/26cc Top handle saw is loads better than the bigger brother which for 35cc or so puts out a terrible cutting performance . The small top handle is ok until you need to do some serious cutting the its out with the 020 or 338xpt both ported
  25. Did you ever get it ported then ? Mines still running ace ported way faster than the standard stihl
