  1. Rope is pretty cheap. DF’s or Barrel knot in one end, stopper in the other, and you’re good to go.
  2. I wouldn’t waste it Peds, I’d reuse it on a new piece of rope.
  3. So nearly a 1. Just a few letters missing and a couple in the wrong place. Wordle 1,198 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟨 ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟨 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  4. I’d be considering any angle I could in these circumstances Dan, even involving the police if necessary. (Not that I think they would mobilise a SWAT team or anything). The driver is a prick and deserves everything he gets.
  5. You could just cut it and tie the crab on with a double fisherman’s, but you’ll have a pretty short flipline. I’d bin it and buy a new one.
  6. Wordle 1,197 4/6 ⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟨⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  7. It is a bit weird that you never actually meet anyone who voted for Labour. We’ve all got jobs I suppose.
  8. Wordle 1,196 4/6 ⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟨🟨⬜ 🟨🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  9. Spot on Mick. Big trees that ‘must be hundreds of years old’ turn out to be about 60. Live fast, die young, stay pretty.
  10. I would agree, and with Steven. Structurally there shouldn’t be an issue. It’s a new house beside a big tree, and foundations will have been designed with this in mind. Location is important. Cedars rarely fail completely, they’re more susceptible to limb failure due to storm damage and snow loading. They can’t be reduced well imo, so you’ve got what you’ve got, and it’s TPO’d. If you like the tree and you can live with it buy the house. If you don’t and you can’t, move on.
  11. The Klou grab I have is pretty well thought out. I see what you mean about your towball configuration. Stag Machinery do a dedicated towball attachment for under £300. Anything beats handballing chippers and trailers about! I’ve rinsed some jobs just because the loader gives me the ability to take the chipper to the trees. Just won another 3 day job for exactly that reason.
  12. Wordle 1,195 3/6 ⬜🟨🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  13. That could end badly.
  14. Photos always help. There are a lot of factors here, the age of the house being a big one. @Squaredy, while PTO’s should always be protected, it’s TPO that is more relevant in this case!
  15. Is that just not gout?
  16. They have all got those shite laminated PU soles though. The soles don’t wear out, they delaminate and fall off. The manufacturers don’t want them to last a long time, they want you to keep giving them £300 every year.
  17. Wordle 1,194 3/6 ⬜🟨⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  18. You should be ashamed of yourself Bob. Working on a pottering day indeed. Tsk tsk.
  19. Glad you’re getting on with it mate. How are you transporting it?
  20. Wordle 1,193 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜🟨🟨🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  21. It’s your lucky day mate, I took a card from a chap called Will who was working there. Looking at the forecast I now wish I’d just bought the Karona anorak I tried on instead!
  22. Mediocrity snatched from the jaws of brilliance. Wordle 1,192 4/6 🟩🟩🟨⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  23. I’m in Salewas most of the time Mark, apart from chunky takedowns on spikes. For normal climbing they are far better. If I was ever stupid enough to cut my own foot I would shoot myself anyway.
