  1. HAHA Brilliant.... we posted at the same time canal navvy. You are now the proud owner of the other half of Steves Tshirt:thumbup1: Edit...Let me know if you need to do the clutch Steve:001_smile:
  2. Well if Spuds bin and gone I think it's time to say what saw it was for. It may be that it would fit lots of saws...I wouldn't know... but it was made for an 020. I mean an 020 as in the pic and not a 200 series.
  3. That post reminded me of this tool which was in my boxes packed for return to NZ...If I get my visa. I dug it out for the occasion and thought it would be good to have some pics of it. It ain't that saw by the way mate:001_smile: Edit: The oldies will kick themselves when I reveal the culprit
  4. Don't know how dolmar and danarm fit the timescale, but I think they are older in general use than the saw I'm after. Edit:Sorry contractarb, I'm terrible for that:001_smile:
  5. Nope but "Old" is along the right track:001_smile:
  6. Function is correct chaps but we don't have the saw yet.....Skyhuck would know it:001_smile:
  7. You have half an arbtalk T shirt Steve... Just need the saw now.....I don't know if it would fit other saws but it was made for one in particular. This is going like your quiz mate:001_smile:
  8. I knocked up this tool donkeys years ago for a specific application on a specific saw. Anyone hazard a guess? …. General application and saw. I can’t remember now exactly how it was used but I remember the general application of it.
  9. I’m only in this thread because I think Mat was getting treated a little harshly. If it were a busted chainsaw thread you will get lots of folk trying to figure out a problem and having a guess even though they know that we have at least 3 members who fix saws for a living. That's just my opinion, we have harmony restored now so be nice to keep it that way. I also find the title amusing as Landrover and ‘Whine’ sit together well. I did a top end rebuild on that landy in a field in Spain but don’t really know much about them.
  10. It said Landy on it somewhere, and carried more pies than the toyota... Half shafts were breaking just because I asked it to go somewhere...really nicely:001_smile:
  11. Ok I'll give you the truth... Landy Santana Toyota Surf (stronger springs fitted so can put a baby in back) Nissan Terrano (F'in Beast) LDV.... Current ..only vehicle
  12. This is the way I roll mate:001_smile:
  13. This is also correct but could throw the OP even more:001_smile:
  14. I made a double mistake in my maths as I was sure that a cube of hardwood was about 450Kg at 20% mc as Rovers says... so I don't need my upwards adjustment. My bet is now on 35 cube...ish if you're allowed to change bets in Arbtalk world:001_smile:
  15. If I were to place a bet on this I would go for Genset's figure as being closest to the truth.
  16. 25 t will become about 15 t minus 45% moisture but the volume will remain the same. So the question is how much volume does one seasoned t of wood occupy? When you know that you have 15 of them. My guess is about 450 kilos per cubic metre depending on the type of hardwood. So 15.000 Kg divided by 450kg = 33 cubic metres I’m crap at maths in a big way so stand to be corrected Just realised you will season to 20% so my maths needs to be adjusted for this...probably take it up to close to 50 cube
  17. So how much wood would he have wanted if he had ordered 8 cube....by his way of thinking... this thing could be exponential...a whole new world:001_smile:
  18. So how on earth could the customer expect to get 8 x 1 cube for that price. I smell a rat:001_smile:
  19. I think Mathew was just trying to get his head around the problem. He will learn from this thread as will the OP. I already learned not to run Landys...if you wanna get where you're going on any kind of regular basis:thumbup1:
  20. Out the rabbit hole....Round the tree...And back down the rabbit hole:001_smile:
  21. Radiata Pine in NZ on live high voltage... not entirely what you mean, but I like the pic:001_smile:
  22. That's power + monkey puzzle mate....a world of pain...Good find Mick:001_smile:
  23. Don't you know there are now cures for Green Badge Disease........ TOYOTA and NISSAN
  24. Someone planted this tree in my dad's fence. It may have escaped your attention that someone planted a spider plant in my head:001_smile:
