  6. Do you remember "Steven Tomlin?"..he now runs a very professional and sucessful arboricultural contractors in Durham...he,s on here under the name "arc" or google his company... "premier tree services peterlee" they use some handy Unimogs and a lot of crane work.....he,s a really nice bloke. wish we could have a NC Arb Re union....i still visit houghal every time i go home and my son went there (he won the novice pole climbing competition last year). Also do you still have a NC Arb T shirt? Grahem Blench was supposed to send me a spare he said he had but i never got it...i would love to get my hands on one..Ahh the memories!! :lol::lol::lol: Remember Tony Pinkerton? he went Crazy and got kicked out but he was a dick :001_tt2:

  7. Good luck to anyone who trys for this...nothing ventured nothing gained!....it sounds like a fantastic oppertunity for someone in search of Adventure in their life and if i didn,t have my sights set on Kew i,d be packing my bags for France right now..

We climbers do like our bells and whistles! pantins over spikes,revolver krabs deflecting tail-ends,double bridges,multi point attatchment paws spiderjacks,grapling hooks etc etc....i imagine Bolam resembling inspector Gadget ascending the tree! The modern climbing arborist is a far cry from the oldskool Tree cutters like Mr johny walker with a rope and prussick but able to do the same job just as well...we are just taking the effort out of it!...the futures bright...the futures Orange (and white)
