  4. The rollers need to be turned down...or it does rattle the machine. Apparently the bearings are not of the highest quality. It is a great chipper nevertheless...minimum sned ding needed....just grabs it and spits it out
  5. I hope (know) things will work out for you!
  6. Looks like an interesting visit hodge.....will be interesting to hear about it....sounds like it was a bit top secret....did they ask you to go down?...im presuming they did.....start a thread mate so i dont keep derailing this one..........and this is a very relevant thread as i use a TR6....
  7. Amen to that Brother Geoff.
  8. It was more of a "Plateau" Geoff
  9. I was wondering when you were going to say about your visit to Timberwolf H.Q were you allowed to take pictures Hodge?... Not to derail...we use towable and tracked FORST for the record and i like them a lot.
  10. Today i intend to take my new mobile out (for the first time) and see how good it is a Taking pictures...i have spent a week trawling through you tube and reviews on it's capabilities....in fact if Capability Brown had been alive today i'm sure the Note 4 would have been the device he'd have chosen! you will have to judge for yourselves when i post its first images...so once again i'd like to thank everyone at Premier for welcoming me into the team and especially Steve the Boss...who'd have thought that when we were both taking our first steps into Tree Surgery we would end up at the same company years later...you can never predict life! Ok...i'm off to explore what Sunday has to offer...in the meantime here is Alex "Monkeyallan" on Friday..maybe the last pictures i take on my old phone.
  11. Apart from today which is cold and frosty the mornings are Feeling Milder like yesterday.
  12. So where do i go from here? Well i hope to have another day with the students at Riseholme College soon...apart from that it's Tree Surgery day in day out which is all i've ever really known or wanted.
  13. Three weeks into my new job i feel very much part of the team...i just wanted to take this opportunity to thank "Monkeyallan" for being my wingman and being a good mate from the beginning...and he's just a keen on capturing Tree Surgery as i am.Here he is Monkeying around on the last climb of the Park work.
  14. It's been great having the Cathedral as a backdrop each day...
  15. Last week we finnished the work at my local park and meeting on site meant a drive of less than half a mile...
  16. Driving back from Limbo on friday afternoon i was able to reflect,Take stock and come back down to earth...after Trees, windmills are my favourite thing as are Turbines and i pass several to and from work but as i passed them on this occassion i supose i had an Epiphany moment. Times are no longer desperate:)
  17. It IS a great device and good to hear your positive feedback...The rain doesn't effect it at all....you will be able to fine tune your technique everytime you use it...it's very touch sensitive especially when friction is reduced....
  18. Can't believe your over there...these images you're posting are so cool mate. Your build up to going and now actually you're THERE,doing what you love in a new and exciting country...all the best...keep living your dream...keep them pictures coming and Enjoy!
  19. A lot of people would agree with you Stewmo.
  20. I agree the SJ is intuitive Joe and i got a couple of years learning to master it but since moving to a Zigazag i could never go back as i feel it's more controllable, ergonimic and in my opinion so much smoother (with a skinny rope and pulley) than a Spiderjack...or a Lockjack for that matter. And it can be mastered in a short space of time.....
  21. Those are incredible picture Ben!
  22. For smooth climbing up and down out on a limb and back in again,ZigZag cannot be beaten
