  11. Oh..of course Douglas..beautiful grain.Larch is also very nice.Iv'e been following your drying story...i love that we cut em down....section them..split them and season them....for heat or for creating things wood is a fantastic resource... .

  14. True Marc...i take my saw up with me every tree and never get it sent up.I cringe when i hear a saw crashing about hanging on its strop as a climber moves around the tree....i use it then hook it on my Caritool (now Vault) every cut.

  16. Well that's the Unimog back after night shift spraying for the last couple of weeks.The Boss and Senior Chargehand have for the second year delivered over one million square linear metres of weed killer and grass growth inhibiter.

It is stunning Darrin..i have posted it before.It was an emergency call out tree that had split out in a very plain park in Hounslow London...i cut this slice and carried it several miles on my bicycle.(Extremely heavy).A year or so later Clive (Delabodge on Arbtalk) put it through his planer then finnished it with many grades of sand/glass paper....then coated it in lemon oil.....its a lap table....the noise when you put a wine glass on it is exquisite! It feels like a cross between bone china and Silk....but is so heavy and tough.
