Thought i recognised Al's truck...Saw the job when he posted pics of those leaning stems and with Ivy just to make things worse.Small bites was definately the safest solution.Well done chaps,i bet you were happy when you got your feet back on the ground.Did Al get the pints in afterwards? He's a great bloke to work for.
  9. It is mate...There are always a diverse lot of people at Arbshows.i look forwrs to going to them and am usually the last person to leave I would choose an event like this over a day in the pub...sat in watching T.V or a football match any day of the week......i shall as usual get as many pictures of the event as my battery will allow and post them on my thread for all those who want to see them.Any Arbtalkers there come and make yourself known and i can post you on here probably with either a beer of whatever bargain you bagged.

  17. Another highly enjoyable day...and still the tiny but mighty MSA160T never lets me down.Stripped out two trees (many cut as each branch was cut into jump/free fall step hand held and directional cut sections and at the end of the day i still had half a battery left.Really looking forward to the assesment tommorow.
  18. I think he has developed an extra strong muscle on his nape...It's like grounding, the further away you stand then you reduce the angle at which you have to look up....it's been a great second day.I Got to strip out two trees and show off my saw and it's capabilities...And Rob has been very kind in providing tea and coffee!
  19. Good to see the other lads on the course enjoying themselves and benefitting from Rob's advice.
  20. Day 2....its quite amazing when i think how kit has changed..I first did this unit on basic rope with my system tied at both ends and used an O20T...then i used a modern rope and strop with an MS 200T and today i'm climbing on a ZigZag and using a 160T...How things have changed (for the better)
  21. You are the master of tight spots Benn!
  22. Exactly right Mr Git. I did the blue book in 96...then refreshed my units in 2006 with Bob and now i'm doing them again but you are right some clients require that we are tested every 5 years.I get on very well with Bob and would be very happy to be doing the same role or similar as him in the future.Training is so rewarding. It's nice to get back to basics and today was a breath of fresh air for me.I like safe practice. He seemed impressed with the E-Saw.
