    Pantin

keep trying mine but cant get on with it, i must have a bad technique as it just seems to slow me down much faster without.
  2. went through a nest with the hedge trimmers this summer, stung loads and it took ages for the stings to go down, not good, but piss funny for the other lads watching me leg it down the road
  3. im less knackered when i work from a MEWP.................. (They have there uses )
  4. banter i can take but feeding my butties to the clients dog...................
  5. capable of most tree work after a year, nah 1 year and your still green......................
  6. its hard to remember what trees i climbed last week
  7. The fallen limb on the left looks tricky, a lot of weight and compression. For the standing part of the tree id go with "mozzas" idea. How about a tirfor (sp?) winch?
  8. .............looking for work in and around Greater Manchester. Self employed currently subbing out to a couple of firms in the area but looking for an extra day "here and there" to fill out my weeks. Im competent, reliable and a grafter both on and off the deck. Have 5 years climbing experience "on the tools" NPTC qualified: 30, 31, 38, 39. IPAF MEWP ticket. ABC first aid. Full clean driving license, own transport, PPE, climbing kit and saws. cheers for looking
  9. Try not to be to blatant with the areas you choose to climb. Common sense would tell you if there are loads of members of the public about you are going to get some "hassle" Back when i first started climbing, i would go off all the time on my own climbing any tree that took my fancy, just got on with it. Early morning is a good time, tell somebody where you are going and an ETA and have your mobile on you. Maybe a bit dangerous but its your call and you take the risk. We take a risk everytime we step out the front door. I was keen and wanted to learn. Im glad i did it because it sped up the process of becoming a climbing arborist. Do rock climbers seek permission??

    cramp

gh Spot on! When i first started climbing i suffered from cramp and would be woke up in the night by it. I was told by the gaffer that it was just my arms/tendons getting use to the work. Occasionaly get it after a big dismantle but in the main its now a thing of the past.
  11. think your right sketchy Mondays....................... Log splitting anyone? mind numbing tedium.
  12. getting out of bed for work on a friday morning after grafting all week
