  7. The smallest carving is the supposed to be robbin above, I don't like small carvings its easier to do larger! I carved both frogs in about 6 hours and spent about an hour grinding them. I had underpriced them so spent as least time as possible with the grinder although I wanted them to look good. Thanks Tommy
  8. Chris, she does start off with the log squared off and its not finished as good as yours but its still impressive to watch. How long have you been carving? I think you will make a good carver if your wanting to try things like that!
  9. Hi, Mick Burns does a carving coarse, but he lives in Lincoln. I think You will need your chainsaw ticket before he will take you though, here is a link to his site. http://www.chainsawsculpture.co.uk/ Cool profile pic
  10. Thanks, and I think my love of art and pencil drawing when at school is helping me a lot. Your off to a good start when you have learnt all about saws and using them but I think if the interest in art was not there I would not be doing it. Thanks Tommy
  11. Yes that is very cool, what about some sand to add to this cool post'
  12. Nice work, keep it up. The carver that speed carves the ball in the box in 30 minutes is a woman called Nansi Hemmings from Wales. She's class here she is at the Wales woodfest 07
