Another bonus with Gmail is that you can store all your photos and other data as well, for free, (up to a reasonable limit).

Just realised - we're with Virgin for BB and TV as well, but I've never thought to use their email service, always had Gmail and it's free anyway. I also use Firefox as a browser.

Gmail for me. Been using it for years, no complaints whatsoever. Apparently it works with Thunderbird, "seamlessly". thunderbird+and+gmail - Recherche Google WWW.GOOGLE.COM

Just curious; why are you keen to get lots of mistletoe? I'm no Druid, but I'd have thought it wasn't a great idea from a commercial fruit tree growers perspective. Doesn't it weaken the trees and lower productivity?

You can get Okra it any Asian shop, or even general greengrocers and supermarkets occasionally. Also called Ladies Fingers.

SPAM. Stir fried with a variety of vegetables. Actually quite tasty. It's the only way I've found to make it palatable. She keeps buying it occasionally for some reason. (I've even tried telling her what's likely to be in there, and not in there. To no avail.) Any ideas as to what else to do with the stuff?

Interesting stuff, thanks. Yes, it goes on to talk about the Devon Shovel in this book. Echoes what you said pretty much. It's my weapon of choice for most kinds of digging/shoveling work, been using one for years. I've got a square ended one as well actually, that's better for some things like moving loose material. Sorry for hijacking this thread somewhat!

By way of a follow up, just in case anyone was waiting with bated breath! I received the new license on Saturday, so under a week from when I applied for it. Everything is present and correct. I'm well impressed. Still got the old one too, though I'll probably just cut it up and bin it now.

This is a funny coincidence, I've just been reading about how they used to repair a Devon Turf Hedge. This looks slightly different to what you've described, maybe just a question of timing. This guy is talking about working in the 1930s, and specifically in the South Hams, South Devon.

Gaucho, in Birmingham was pretty damn good. It was a few years back that my missus treated me to a birthday dinner there, the details escape me now, but I remember being blown away. It was mouth wateringly good. What I do remember was the size of the steaks. I've got a healthy appetite so was very reluctant to take the waitresses advice and only order a medium and not a large. She was right, I could barely finish it! And melt in the mouth tender. The fresh sausage for starter was excellent too.

Time to mix it up a bit. The Chemical Brothers. They've never done it for me, not even close. Not exactly sure why. Other dance/electronic outfits from the same epoch like Leftfield, The Orb, The Prodigy and Massive Attack were far better.
