  1. Did you get anywhere re part time insurance?
  2. Any thoughts on chaps vs trousers? I thought they would be easier as the majority of my work wi ll not involve using chainsaw. BOOMEL
  3. I have been offered a part time opportunity to help out an arborist (2-3 times per month) and need to update my PPE. I have a great saw that I like (Husqvarna 550xp) but a lot of the PPE is basic. I will be doing mostly (and yes I have relevant C&G tickets) groundwork (chipping) to assist my friend (to old to be a tree monkey) and looking for appropriate recommendations for: - boots (comfortable and lightweight) - trousers (I like the idea of chaps because I can put them on when cutting on the ground) - helmet, although I do like the Protos regards and thanks BOOMEL

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
