    Any offcuts

Your best bet would be to buy some new rope if you are learning mate imo. Get some yale xtc or some marlow white friction cord. Both super easy to learn with and fairly cheap.
  2. Which type mate?
  3. Looks tidy mate! (and my lips are sealed!! Ha ha!)
  4. That photo looks like it was taken from a standing position. Although it would have to be if that "item" isn't in shot! Ha ha:lol:
  5. How far down did you fold the end mate? Did you get all of the fibres in? Looks like not all of them are out from the large eye? The eyes look bang on though mate!!
  6. The new pantin is smaller and more streamlined. I think they have also removed the hole for clipping a crab in. Don't know if the smaller size will reduce the likelihood of rope kicking out but looks nice!
  7. This really made me laugh
  8. What a great advert mate!! All the best!! I'm sure that this will work for you!!
  9. If its the rings that Ewan is refering to, there was a batch a few years ago that weren't marked correctly and failed, causing a product recall. A lot of people swore off that brand after that incident.
  10. On a side note. If you're desperate to isolate limbs from the ground, buy a second throwbag for the other end of your line. Much easier to ping it through and get a straight route
  11. Pictures please
  12. Thought so!!!!
  13. What sort of wire did you use John?
  14. When I do it, the first eye should go straight in. When you come to do the second you want to do the bury in 2 stages. Then you can pull on the first core to bunch up the cover and make a bit more room to fit the cross over through. If anchor from your first eye and then get something to yank on and a sturdy fid you should be laughing mate. Give me a bell if you need a hand
  15. Did you pull the other end to bunch it up a bit mate?
  16. Is it you selling them Tuttle?
  17. I remove the core strands and use the cover stands to form a new core.
  18. Pictures please
  19. Cool pics Stevie!!
  20. Called mine Woody.
  21. View from top of a Cedar. Stiff tether on wrench worked lovely
  22. Thats looks fantastic. Nice one mate.
  23. Why not organise a rec climb near you? Or go to one that is close? As soon as the weather picks up I'm sure there will be loads going on. Everyone I've met through here has been sound and most would be willing for someone else to have a go.* (* obviously not if you're looking for chainsaw trousers! I was talking about climbing kit!!) Just an idea:001_smile:
