  1. sounds like the one the other climber done! i'll have a look tommorrow
  2. which ones the howard oak? i deadwooded and fettled the one in the car park near the toilets, and d/w a couple near by, with the 2 big oaks by toilets still to do. the big oak in the carpark near the bowling green is comming down, got fungus, rigga something ulmus? think the other climber reduced a few limbs on an oak behind the hall place of the above carpark or the oak in the woodland area behind that row of thujas? you best have done spot on target pruning cuts mat, i'll be checking now:lol:

  10. my old man had a new 4x4 sprinter about 10year ago, good van dave, in short i would say no to under 2k to convert to 4x4, if atall possible

  13. to convert to cedar shingles/tiles for cliffs new shed, if he does want it (he's gonna look at the pics first) im sure we could get the grab lorry down there as we're working in letchworth later this week and all next week, so down that way ish. see what cliff reckons/if someone can convert the timber for him i reckon taking a load or 3 away has gotta be worth diesel money atleast hey?

  16. saw a 6x6 tipper landrover with a meaty looking hiab between cab and buck yesterday, looks ace, prob isnt tho! under or over 3.5t?
  17. to be honest i dont know either mate, are you looking at making money milling? if so you could mill peoples wood onsite, costing to the hour+an hour? or are you looking at pre milling a load of species and sizes, storing/seasoning them ready to sell? if so i reckon you really need to know your market And have a reputation like tommer9 and rob d or milling stuff to make garden furniture out of? if so, any would do i reckon! just price accordingly-oak, yew, holly=many£ other more common woods-maple (sycamore!), pines, ash ect=less£ for same items thatd be my opinions based on nothing!
  18. have you thought of asking local bespoke furnature makers what they require? sold some yew to a cabinet maker, he wanted it 2" thick, he will season it, then cut down/plane to size he needs
  19. i have a rule to give them the boot early febuary, mid december, or a week before their bday my cash is MINE
