  1. Sure, some care when loading is needed. It depends on who you let loose with your vehicles. Mine still needs to have the outer skin fitted which will hide any minor dents from showign from the outside.
  2. The stuff I'm using is Zyntec steel, a bit lighter than galvanised but won't necessarily last as long.
  3. I used this lot Fat Flyers - Quality Business Cards 400gsm is the standard weight they use. You can e mail them a design and they post you the cards, simples!
  4. I found some big sheets of 2mm aluminium for £40 quid which is going to be the roof. Its a lot thinner than I was hoping to get so if its no good I'll replace it in the future with something better, but for now cost is a problem so it will do. Because of this I've had to put some more cross members in to strengthen to roof. It may be that we won't be able to stand on the roof or very carefully if we do! We'll have to see! I've added weight here with these cross members but saved some with having such a lightweight roof. Hope to get the roof panels cut to size and on by friday.
  5. Then the two rear panels that fill the gap between the main box and the rear pillars.
  6. Not much progress as I have had to go and do some work for a change! We have been hedge trimming so only need car and trailer. Also I had to wait for the remainign panels to be fabricated and they could only really be measured up once the main panels were in. Today I managed to fit these extra panels. It is all only bolted together loosely at the moment just to get all the holes drilled etc then its all coming off and going back on more permanently. Having said that though, it will all be removable once done so any damaged panels can be replaced or altered. We will see how we get on with it and make any changes as required. This front panal sits just behind the tool box and connects the main chip box to the front panel of the original tip body. This has increased the strength massively and it also makes a walk through which might be handy for gettign ladders off the roof.
  7. I wasn't thinking that kind of job, but you get the idea.
  8. I think some one should see how far the reps would go to make a sale!
  9. Oh yes, I know. 3500!!! Thats my budget for the entire project including the truck!
  10. If you've got spare money then 400-600 in yellow pages wouldn't hurt at least people could use it to find your number, but if that is how you want to get your work then its no good and yell.com is a lot worserererer. Poeple who use yell.com have internet (obviously) so a web search would be better. But we all work locally so start with flyers and add yell if you have spare money but don't rely on it. IMO only and I am biased against yell!
  11. Whats Plygloss?
  12. I told them to bring her to court when they try and get the 800 quid out of me that I allegedly owed them, as I had a recording of her and the lies that she spouted about how much of a failure I would be without her help and about her vast experience and knwoledge in the feild of marketing/advertising (that was the real lie). They dropped the pursuit of the money. As we all know mis-selling is an offence so if you sign the paper it means nothing. If you get no decent work from it then you don't need to pay them, especially if they specifically told you that you would get calls and work. They usually say lots of call and lots of work. They reckon they get 30,000 hits for tree work in my area per month yet they can't tell me what percentage are for actual work and waht percentage of that comes to an actual job. That figure, divided by the number of contractors listed would be the correct figure of what you would get, but of course they don't tell you that bit.
  13. Mine wasn't Irish and more of a troll than a pixie!
  14. My window is available for you to throw your money out of! You'll be paying 2k so that people can call you and try and sell you stuff.
  15. He doesn't mention if it tips and it doesn't look as though it would, the bed is too low for there to be a tipper. Shame he's selling up, he'd be better splitting stuff on here, maybe someone should e mail him and invite him to sell it all here in bits?
  16. Heres the old one its younger days! Even my wheel barrow was shiny then!
  17. The complete opposite of the "relatively" light, fuel efficient, cheap, crap to drive and look bad LDV that its going to replace.
  18. What does a double cab canter with three way tipper and high sides weigh? According to manufacturers spec the chassis/ crewcab alone weighs either 2255 o 2280 kgs depending on the model, so with a tipper on it and pulling a 190 TW it would suck some diesel!
  19. I don't think thats to scale!! I hope not, the cards should arrive next week!
  20. nuff said!
  21. Yes good value indeed especially for both side printed. I just ordered some at 60+vat for 500 one side only!
  22. Can the splitter just tilt forward over the trailer when not in use? No need for a ram to lift it if you can just build it on a pivot and fold it down.
  23. I was suspiciuos! USB delivers something like 5v. not going to power much with that!
  24. I'm thinkign that I don't need much detail on a business card only contact stuff. The rest can go on a flyer. I'm workign on a design. I can make up artwork for card easy enough if anyone wants any.
  25. Well spotted, definatly don't need the ' in woodchippings. Who put that there? How much does 500 cards cost you Mick? Heres my most recent, not got them done yet.
