  9. Today i was going along a field edge and every 20 metres was an ash tree nearly everyone had inonotus hispidus on it. Maybe i should fell them all think of all that firewood:thumbup:
  10. Sorry ian i never did say it was box. It was a 12 inch trunk 3 metres long it is a lovely olive colour. With the trunk i thought about making bowls but i need to get a faceplate first.

  14. There is an old man who lives near me who makes hazel chairs and sofas he is going to teach me how to set one out and how to bend the rods. 2 inch hazel linen line props 3 and 4 inch posts or good firewood.

  17. Today a customer asked if i could sell her a bundle of 6 foot and a bundle of 9 foot hazel rods bean sticks. I know they usually come in bundles of 25 but does anyone know how much i should charge her for them i have no idea at all LOL call myself a woodman ha:001_smile:

When you learn about a new fungi dean if it is the right season you want to go out and find one to see it first hand some like inonotus you will need to see alive and dead as it goes from buff through to black. You will soon be hooked then you will be like monkeyd going on holiday looking for fungi LOL :001_smile:
  24. I dont like to give two but the fungi that ilook forward to every year is Grifola frondosa a real buzz when i find them:001_smile:
