  1. You Shure it's a 3060 and not a 5060 Probably a 11ton trailer Looks decent trailer.
  2. Yes it's all legal now with controls in the basket, actually is the same box that acts as the remote plugs into the basket and deactivate the tilt function and recalibrates the lift to give you a 300kg safe basket weight and warning if your coming close to this or outside safe working zone.
  3. Kid rock , sampled sweet home Alabama and werewolves of London in same song, must have cost him a fortune.
  4. A few from last week removing roadside ash for a regular client, road closures wasn't really a option so stop traffic reach across a grab a bit worked well. Bit of pretending to be a mewp settings winch cables and a remote control crane for the heavy timber
  5. Would happily be sat next to that having a few Beers [emoji1303]
  6. Too late for me, it already did [emoji51]
  7. Definitely made things more efficient and really makes things safer with no work at height and nobody in the fail zone if the trees compromised, really looking forward to getting the whole team back in and all the gear out at the same time really getting some jobs knocked out with it.
  8. Out with the merlo again but subcontracting to Kevin Patton tree services removing a line of decaying poplars in a school, 9 trees lifted down, brash chipped resulting in 5 transit loads and all timber stacked up for collection later in 6 1/2 hrs, would have been seriously tricky to do even with a mewp because of all the targets directly under the trees in the way of trees being retained, fence's decking, greenhouses and play equipment.
  9. Ah bugger, did aleg pipe blow as looks like your unloading and had this side down? Looks like you've got some decent guardian around your cab, any more pictures of that?
  10. McClarrons | Home WWW.MCCLARRONINSURANCE.COM McClarrons offers expert independent advice to provide effective commercial, rural and personal insurance via specialist insurers and products. Got really good cover from these guys
  11. Yes , helps with traction when the machine spends a lot of time pushing backwards with a mulcher on. Apparently also limits where on the road, found this out too late to avoid buggering my from tyre's.
  12. Much better, I feel appeased now [emoji16]
  13. I'd spotted that and thought what a lovely looking loader tractor, our 6pot T series is definitely not manovarable and takes some space especially with winch on front and extended botex on back, a friend has a N132 and palms trailer and can get places I have no hope but still a fair amount of go on the road. Hywell Evans has a tidy looking 8050 for sale that's obviously been Duluxed but generally a very reliable tractor.
  14. That's a very conservative reply for you Stephen, don't go soft on us now [emoji12]
  15. It's not what is taught to simply pass the tickets that's the problem, it's the telling them how good they are and how much they are going to earn straight off the bat either as a freelancer or to set up on their own rather than making it clear that the tickets are simply a step into the industry and permission to go out and learn within the industry.
  16. Thanks Gary, don't get me started on the shit collages are filling the heads of students with when most tutors haven't actually worked freelance or run businesses themselves.
  17. If a freelance climber turned up for me, sped up the tree, crashed everything down got the whole tree safely down but in a ungodly tangled nest then fucked off to his van he'd never work for me again and be lucky to get paid at all, that's not skill that's just being a dick who can cut tree's . A skilled climber who can command decent money makes everyone else look good too by placing stuff in away the rest of the job runs slick, can clearly communicate with the rest of the team what he expects in the way of help in running ropes and above all is safe and courteous. they need to accept that sometimes they will have to sit for a few minutes while stuff is set up or shifted and as long as they aren't in a truly uncomfortable position why not. Don't crash timber ontop of brash and smash it to twigs else the next time your rope gets tangled no one will help you till they are ready. When your finished up the tree yes take 10min for a coffee and sort your gear out but muck in with some tidy up even if it's just grab the blower or do a scout round stick pick as it'll be noticed and appreciated by everyone including the client as nothing looks more professional than a good team working together and leaving a tidy job. Above all remember a bad reputation travels a lot faster and a lot further than a good one!
  18. Really like the valtra, well suited to us especially with the turning seat for the forwarding trailer and being guarded underneath. She's only 155 hp but plenty of bottom end grunt for pulling and very stable. Hi-tech cabs are a bit simpler as mostly macanical lever's for gears and hydrolic but you'll never get away from some electronic controls. Not had much to do with fent but they do seem to be mostly computer controlled these days .
  19. Few from this week creating a woodland walk through a shelter belt mostly removing declining Ash and chipping onto the floor for the path surface while we could still see into the trees for any nests and work round them, big trailer coming very useful again and even coming home with the few bits of timber we didn't feed to the safetrack.
  20. Apparently bearing failure was to blame so blades contacted anvil and brought everything to a stop, bits of blade still wedged into it!
  21. Glad this isn't my chipper!
  22. Easy as that [emoji1303] Seriously though as Ian said if you don't know what your doing accepting some help and instruction would be a good idea as it'll help you long-term to be able to do these things yourself in the future.
  23. Definitely heading that way if the merlo was new it'd get you a nice pad in a decent area [emoji33]
  24. Quite a decent lump, has a 75cm bar in it soon to be swapped for a 80cm Will happily grip 1.2m This is the lift chart, head is 900kg go got to deduct that.
