  4. i have had two pairs of these boots and i went through both in 6 months groundy work and climbing. i have found that the sole comes away from boot after a few months and the sole disintergrates:mad1: spoke to a dealer of these boots and he told me that that was the general feedback on these boots. so i have gone back to hiax. However on a plus point they are comfy and lightweight:001_smile: as the saying goes by cheap by twice!

Young, keen climber with tickets and pre 97 licence. 4 years industry experience and climbing experience. hard working and still learning everyday. will consider subby, employee, freelance work etc. Groundy or climber. 15. i was going to read the whole thread but got bored with the jap landrover blah I am currently working for a LA who use the rangers, and we happen to have one at the mo! I would say that it is very good on fuel and we are trashing it foot to the floor constantly. It handles all driving well motorway fast and smooth, normal road use fine and off road she is ok got her stuck once or twice but still self recovered. More dependent on the crap drivers i work with. I am ex military and have completed off road driving courses and this vehicle is good but not in the same league as a landy off road howeva this kicks a landys arse on road and wheel spins through to 3rd on road.:001_smile:tows really well very powerfull!!! its a 4x4 and wish i could afford to have it as a runner round:blushing: hope that helps
  16. just your regular situp pressup man and the odd cardio! I do it to relieve stress more than fitness
  17. I reduced a large euc for a customer by half once as she couldn't afford to take it down in one go. The regrowth after 6 months was outragous. After that job i started hitting euc's a lot harder and found that they are a very hardy tree. pollard or coppice is acceptable!
  18. you gave her a fraid knot:001_smile:
  19. There is a company by me that are gypos and they go one further they employ a local boy (bullshit salesman) so the customer doesn't hear an irish accent then a van load of them turn up rip out their drive leave a company sign then turn up three weeks later to block the drive.
  20. well i always hated wearing the linesman helmet with a rubbish bit of elastic - vertex or similar systems are better
  21. When you hear the words "while your here could you just?" turn you into a potential murderer
  22. i wash mine in the bath (which the missus loves) with a mild soap does the trick but requires a lot of elbow grease. Plus i am not completely 100% sure but i thought you were supposed to let the ropes dry out naturally and out of direct sunlight. Or is that another thread? so i wait for the rope techno boys to put me straight on that!
  23. tried the new hitch climber (VT) setup last weekend and i love it! after years of being just a blakes hitch man and nothing else it is a breath of fresh air! found the knot easy to tie and was away in no time. After reading everyones posts i thought it was going to be some dark art. so a big thank you to this thread! ps cheers jonsie for the hitch climber
