  1. well thanks for that QUOTE I could,nt imagine working for someone else, and therefore price jobs with that in mind. arn't you the lucky one!!
  2. i personally have mixed views about pricing cheap! on one aspect you won't the work the other will drive down everyones prices till there will be minimal profit left! i think that is a short sighted answer omo tho:001_smile:
  3. i bailed out of being self employed in march after much soul searching and having a nipper. However i am still working on weekends (kept tools and insurance) and all my regulars are still calling. so i feel i am no worse off! after the threads earlier about work slowing down the forum seems to have forgotton about it!!!! maybe a good sign. personally i feel the media have calmed down their panic stories and things may get normalish again:001_smile:
  4. hi everyone just opened this group up for all the welsh contingent and possibly the borders for social, business and general chatting:001_smile:

  11. my fav saying of all time is "wind your neck in" from when is was in the navy!!! and everyday the phrases: "pull this off" in various guises produces a giggle from me ie "i will put a tag on this and you can pull it off". childish i know but!!!

    My new toy.

  17. a bit of topic but how do you find the timberwolf model you have? sorry but thinking about buying the 5inch model?
  18. i hope the wannabe dr wasn't a go at me:blushing: but your right its the easy and quick techniques like direct pressure and elavation and staying calm that can buy someone time. not bandaging and making slings:001_smile:
  19. I hold first aid at work and was a first aid instructor (that has now run out!). Also a city and guilds in primary and emergency. so your not the only one! probably most of the team have done first aid at some time but are not in date! i think the legal requirement is that at least one member of a working team should be first aid trained up to a certain no. (????) so in a team of three one. However i think that everyone should be first aid trained as it is a life skill and you never know who you might need to help? could be a loved one!
  20. cheers that is a relly good thought! The problem is i have had my mechanic mate look at it and he was left scratching his head!! I just think that modern mechanics are useless unless its an easy oil and filter change:001_tongue: as i always say keep banging your head against a wall and it will break!
