  4. Dont want to be a kill joy...but even the chemicals associated with stickers and decals will be considered by manufacturers as a source of contention if the helmet fails in the field.,..just something you need to be aware of......
  5. Liquid cool bro..you almost make the thing look big,,sorry...BIG !!!

  14. Yes mate, however I dont think the LPA is beyond reproach here. It should have been picked up at the aia and protected. The LPA has shown a complete lack of understanding of the issues IMO Brings me back to point..get off your high horses and learn from the cock ups that have led to this situation...unless of course you like the damn thing?
  15. Mattheck is no biologist tho eh?
  16. It is not an issue of the predisposition of the stance adopted by the owner but of our understanding of tree care and the things we can & cannot do to achieve and maintain an harmony that values life. Trees. People. Life. Get it !!!
  17. Well maybe you will only need to gonas high as the Treasury dept...but as you most likely already know...Gordon Brown was ***** that up good and proper B4 he was presiden...t...I'm sorry...prime minister:cussing:
  18. Having spent some time in the Australasian continent and in Melbourne actually, I was not only shocked by the level of care they manage to sustain (IMO ****** awful ) but by the way the tree gets used. The point I want to make here is that there are a large number of significantly huge trees retained by owners slap bang butt up to the buildings. Most dwellings are built on a foundation of piles and so root issues are less prevalent. It is done to provide much needed shade to the occupiers.
  19. I got to agree really mate..hence my comment about gettin' off the ol high horse and tryong to accept and learn rarher that continually posturing about how much better a job we could have all made of it....?
  20. IMO you would most likely need to do this a hundred times over if you are to gather information that could in any way be considered reliable for the purposes of informing the industry as to the real characteristics of the fungus Not that this should stop you.
  21. So. I take it we agree that the boundary of your rights is where they conflict with mine. quote. To say" so what" to the owner who must live under this tree when he is worried about it is churlish in the extreme.... If you can guarantee the tree will not fail and smash the house then all good and well: it would be another example of foolhardy and spurious assurance , and in my view with an all to obvious agenda. If as you suggest, our rights are bound by conflict to designate the line thereof, he can freely fear for his safety whilst the tree towers above his bed....those must surely be his rights by the same token! I cant help thinking that the situation should have been avoided in an ideal world. Even by way of the law system we use today. The planning should have accommodated the trees existence and determined a management plan to avoid difficulties such as the one we see.... Like you tho' Tony...i would not want to see another one!
  22. Di you get it yet Deerman?
  23. Better ask Gordon Brown.....
