    help!

Its either a problem cos you dont agree with the spec ....so dont do the work...or you gonna do it anyway so what are you on about....
  4. dog p@@s is not good
  5. U gonna have to do something about the file size limit for attachments also...its too limited..all pics (ok...3 ) that I have posted had to be cropped to get past admissions........
  6. cool..then bang them all in a sticky-wiki thingy?? BTW.. nice pics Hannah
  7. Ocotea rodiei... http://www.woodmagazine.com/materials-guide/lumber/wood-species-2/greenheart/ aka Chlorocardium rodiei ( sometimes spelt rodieai )
  8. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quercus_robur
  9. oh right....one rule for the boss and another for his employee....you gotta watch that!!!!
  10. There can be little doubt, the value of the proposed dwelling must be greatly increased as a result. Personally and IMO the trees contribute hugely to the appeal of the building. They must do so without being compromised , then there are no unusual management issues with them. ( and no liability concerns etc ) The value of getting the planning off from the right premis. There is I am sure alot of pressure on developments in the UK. We are but a small island with many people and rushing the housing sector demands will only lead to conflict. Bring on the new BS i say! ( it is sad to speculate that the new owners will not like the trees and want them butchered or removed) Was there a TPO with that?
  11. good work.......
  12. It seems like a bit of a backward step in some ways as the research that has been gleaned presumably from utilities repeatedly digging up root zones for installetion is somehow inadequately formularised with a recipe in the shape of software for the purposes of expediency. As it has been said tho', it appears to do enough. At the end of the day, it will either prove to be a worthwhile tool or not. Seems like a sensible suggestion to include trench trial detail when/where necessary....Whatever it takes to make it work.
  13. I read it mate...didnt see the need to comment tho'
  14. Out on my traily today....saw quite a few folk taking advantage of the crop as it pops up along the way... Old ladies with ladders in the middle of nowhere...curious thing....they could lie unconcious for hours b4 anyone happened upon them maybe.!!!!
  15. Certainly.....it was for clarfication is all! Only a drawing tool and tailored to meet BS standard recommendations...handy:sneaky2:
  16. Thereby self drawing an rpa effectively... ( because it maintains an area ( m2 ) with no basis in reality) ??
  17. Thanx for your kind comments people This would be my next stop infact...already on the list some two months ago. Also attending ellisons workshop on VTA techniques...
  18. Would it be right to say, from impressions of that which is written in support of the software, that it too can be a bit vague? Influenced by apptitude of interpretation of the circumstances in which it is being used? Or are tree root issues just inherently complex by vitrue of the unseen nature. Walls & other obstructions, whilst they make the root area's distribution irregular, can they be so simply drawn. Also, do you merge? You would need to be well informed to use it then? It would need to be seen as reliable to be effective. Otherwise it is another tool with which to argue and postulate, meanwhile, the bored digger driver thought it would be okay to .......
  19. It is a bit of a nonsense when it gets so involved...although I understand your comments Tony vis a vis dna whu. Linnaeus devised the latin in family, genus, species cultivar as an universal system ( nomenclature ) to keep it simple.....
  20. I wish you a complete recovery mate......as far as this thread is now concerned however........ You were warned!
  21. its got to be a wind up....dont worry what people think if you are happy with it...
  22. Bl**dy hell!!!!!
  23. Doesnt it....
  24. After felling the beech with phellinus spp, I was visited by the tree officer .....I insisted he drop an email to Gurney warning him that root zones and diggers dont mix...it was wilful destruction as he admitted he didnt want the phoenix beech....I dont have much confidence in NNDC to be honest. I am assuming that the spoilt little man does not take kindly to be told what he can & cannot do with his own trees. Either way...not my problem now!!
