  3. TreeTomass i have dont have a towable chipper just have my jo-beau m400 and my tipper it suits me as most the work i do is in back gardens. if i need to load my tuck up with woodchip and the brush is close to my truck i fire it into the back off my truck if not i use my muck truck to take the woodchip out off gardens and dump it into the back off my truck. makes my life easy and the best bit about it is to set my self up with the chipper and mucktruck it didnt cost me no more that a good 2nd hand towable chipper
  4. like dean said the jo-beau and the greenmech are drum chippers never used the greenmech but what i have seen Shreks Wee Brother greenmech there ent much difference between that and a jo-beau steve bullman put this up if ur looking at a cheeper chipper looks good to me here is all 3 chippers hope this helps [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXGQvd0AYUc]YouTube - jo beau m400[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5730Hn-xqoY]YouTube - wee chipper 4[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w30uxTdwZ3A]YouTube - GTM Professional GTS1300 Chipper[/ame]
  5. greenmech would deall with most things look up jo-beau m400 as well both 4inch chippers the jo-beau is mine that eucalyptus tree was about 25inch round at the bottem and that was a take down took evey thing i wanted it to take hope this helps [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXGQvd0AYUc]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXGQvd0AYUc[/ame] [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5730Hn-xqoY]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5730Hn-xqoY[/ame]
  6. or a 460 with a 25inch bar thats a very good saw its lighter to
  7. i run a 441 with a 20inch bar on it good saw it would be a good for 20-30 inch logs but i would rather use a 660 with a 25inch bar
  8. 3 weeks ago i priced to take 2 rotten willow out it was my mates next door neighbour he was worried about them falling on his shed both willows where about 35ft heigh 3ft round at the bottem they had both bin pollared for many years and had about 3 years groth on them. no access to the trees they wanted me to take them down take the waste awy and chip what i could and leave the wood chip there. i put 380 on the job witch i thought was fair as really i was doing it for my mate. went to my mates last weekend and the next door neighbours friend was takin down the 2 trees no cost just for the wood took them 4 days lol and they cant take the last truck off each tree down. what made me laugh was he had the cheek to ask me to take the last 2 trunks down after they messed the job up
  9. thats the same as what i thought when i hired it does it work yes would i want to uses it all day and buy one my self no i hired the timberwolf before i hired the jo-beau and it is shocking how much better the jo-beau is and i should think the greenmech is to as they are nearly the same machine
  10. i have a 06 plate master great truck good on the fuel i love drivin around in it i no off road they ent bad ever just make shore u have most the weight behind the headbord. even though its frount wheel drive it pulls like hell
  11. if u have the money go buy the m300 u wont be disappointed i was very very impressed when i hired it could not belive how good it was. its Total width is 720mm its the best 13hp chipper iv used easy to move about its In-feed height is very good where as if ur using the timberwolf all day the height off the in-feed is very height give jones a call or send him a private message on here he will sort u out on here Jonesie is his user name
  12. down the slope all i will say is this mate if i was u i would stick to the jo beau or the greenmech if posable hire diffrent machines or get some demos booked as u will find out what the machines are like where abouts u live mate when i first got the machine it done about 90 hours of work before i changed the blades round but like Shreks Wee Brother said if u put crap though them they wont stay shape for long
  13. i got the m400 iv used the little timberwolf, camons, jobeau m300, 400 i think the jo beau is the best small chipper on the market but having said that the little greenmech is a very good machine to as u can see but the vid i nearly bought the greenmech over the m400. see if jones has a ex demo machine or hire one try before u buy mate thats what i done [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXGQvd0AYUc]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXGQvd0AYUc[/ame]
  14. how u getting on with urs andy Shreks Wee Brother hope i ent offended u about my opinion about the jo beau and the greenmech like u said the small chipper dont make things quicker just easier ( the only thing i hate about the m400 is the discharge shoot is over the top off the air filter and it soon fills up off s**t where as u ent got that problem whats urs like on fuel
  15. Robert.S no mate it chipped the leafs to buzz i dont like luggin logs ever this is what we have to pull it about to put wood in wood chip, carry saws, climbing gear etc i no iv posted this before [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRtPkxoGO6I]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRtPkxoGO6I[/ame]
  16. you dont get much vibration through your hands as long as the machine is shape any thing up to about 3inch you can just let the machine have it. dean i think the little yellow one is a better machine than the little greenmech there ent really much between them i just like the m400 better because it has a 20 hp honda instead off 18 briggs and the blade infeed is 400 mm wide instead off 315mm dont sound alot but when ur trying to put bushy stuff through it helps and the m400 has a Adjustable discharge. they are both good machines but in my opinion i think the jo beau i a better machine
