  1. Yep, it was a one day job IIRC.
  2. We've done several at £3k, I'm struggling to think of one more than that. I once looked at a job for a management company, I thought £1800 for 3 elms to fell, then just before I sent the quote I noticed the original email was the end of a long string of messages. I scrolled down several messages to find a quote from the other competitor who we often quoted against with this firm. £5400! They were delighted with my extremely competitive quote of £3800.
  3. This stuff rarely turns up on eBay or gumtree. It's all going to the continent. Van loads every day.
  4. My red rock weighs about 4 ton, used to pull that with a 95hp 6400. I think you’ll be fine. Once loaded you might slow down a bit though..
  5. Only joking.. I'll take anything I can get.. I'm desperate... and as the years advance my modelling career is on the wane.
  6. What!!! I'm withdrawing my images, like Naomi Cambell I don't get out of bed for less than a 201T.
  7. A couple with the 66 and a massive sycamore.
  8. Stupid spec, topped pops always go rotten, and really quickly. One day there will be a court case where damage was caused by a topped tree failure.. and whoever specked it will be held liable.. I’ve seen topped pops rotten to the base within 10 years.
  9. It’s a tigergrip.
  10. Got our wee machine plumbed and wired up last week. I think she’ll be handy.
  11. I have them, they are really good, take a wee bit of getting used to after the valve ones. Mine have been on the crane since it was fitted. My old crane had valve controls. I wouldn’t go back.
  12. Scum. Ask all the dealers to check when someone orders a chute.
  13. Ooof that must include the pressure assist though?
  14. Ac price built one on to my Heizohack, I have control over feed / reverse, top roller lift / push down, rotate discharge chute, tilt deflector on discharge chute, and an on off switch. Its is very handy, but I dread to think what I paid for it. @John Shutler might know, as I think he was pricing it up for his machine.
  15. My 12" bandit is available to hire, £350 per week..
  16. A couple of videos we had made to show our habitat creation work. Sorry about the musak...
  17. Yep, he tried to claw himself out on a dead tree.... glad and it wasn’t my job!
  18. I rescued these two diggers last week, had to get the 5 tonner out to make a bed for the log mat to rescue the 13 tonner. It took both my winches and 2 snatch blocks to get it out. 20 ton combined pull.

    Our new promo.

Yep I was in the orange vest. Andrew was climbing.

    Our new promo.

Don’t know, the production company sourced it.
  21. Could have been, I don’t remember them being octagonal.. but they might have been..
  22. There’s a company importing proper creosoted posts from Sweden, I saw them at the highland show a couple of years ago , can’t remember the name. It’s the real deal, it was Health and safety that shut down all our creosote plants but this Swedish one is state of the art apparently and uses the proper old school stuff. Boiled and pressure treated. Those old posts can last 50 years +
  23. Bump! Its just as relevant today as it was 5 years ago...
  24. I don’t have a contact but quite often Scottish Power will do them for free if they feel they are close to the lines.
