  1. With a soupcon of Oxygen for your MAG welder Happy new year
  2. Swapping the fuseholder pin for a neutral pin from a spare plug works even better
  3. Would have gone for 24 tonnes in the trailer and 2 tonnes in the transit making a tree of 26 tonnes. Know it's not but estimating weights is a nightmare
  4. Vince Cainey mentioned having decay detection kit as well as doing l.o.l.e.r. He is in Atworth , Melksham, Wiltshire.
  5. My ribs now ache with laughing
  6. Well done sir:001_smile: Animal cruelty is streets apart from the current T. B. debate.
  7. Aspen is the answer:biggrin: Well it's not really. You cannot buy a can of it at the arb shows. You can't blame the poor sods trying to apply the differing legislation that applies to the same product. The best guides I have found so far have been posted here on arbtalk previously
  8. True here. :-) Costs me a small fortune to stay compliant.
  9. Did 38/39 there. Well recommended & a pleasant place to stay
  10. Stihl bio. Don't get to use the saws as intensively as I'd like to :-( Use Aspen too
  11. A well deserved recognition of what Steve and his team have achieved. There must be many trees still standing due to the Arbtalk family
  12. An overdue account reminder on a post card works a treat.
  13. Redemption is a wonderful thing:001_smile:
  14. Two drops last night and four this morning, Chippenham is dry. We now have more fallen leaves than green grass
  15. I paid £199 for mine at the arb show. A bit early yet for any feedback on them
  16. Mr. plogs normal ? It was great to meet him and his cohort on the rampage through the arb show :-)
  17. I'm always pleased for a good reason to use my 441 on the 16" bar and 8 pin rim. It is my fave It helps that it loves it's Aspen , the 260 doesn't like cold weather & the 201 is a stroppy young topper.
  18. R.I.P. Toby dog. We feel for you. Unfortunately for a dog to have an interesting life there is always a risk.
  19. Nice work Reg (as usual). Jareds' felling impresses me too I feel the need for a session in the woods now to make friends with the dutchman
  20. Good tips A bunch of chuggers and a big issue seller would be good too
  21. As lifting gear it would be on 12 monthly rather than the 6 monthly PPE
  22. Good tip. Adequate penetration in the root run is also essential. Preheat helps with difficult cracks. Expensive metals help in the process. If it's old it may be cast, so stitching may be better.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
