  1. It would be interesting to leave the cap loose overnight as the tank cools and retighten just before you start it.
  2. R.A.M.S. for use of a M.E.W.P. over water and land is an interesting one. Ought to wear a lifejacket and no restraint lanyard over water and a restraint harness/lanyard over land. Even with the best intentions the R.A.M.S. starts to look like a comedy ?
  3. I keep thinking that "cabstar" has come back to haunt Mr Bullman ?
  4. That is a lot of money. I put a set of tyres on one a few years ago for a collector, the very one that did the shows. For some odd reason he had it resprayed which was a shame as you could just make out the original Ford TW30 decals shadow. Reckon in its original paint it would have been way more collectable/valuable ?? TW35
  5. I'm always relieved to see that it's DPD delivering ?
  6. I was using the stove exactly as directed by the user manual and it just popped in front of my very eyes. Can I please now have a new one foc and I'd like a free gift to recompense me for the inconvenience ??
  7. Junk shops & car boot sales are a good source of good quality old tools. Add the metric bits from ebay etc and the really common ones are worth buying new. 18 mm A/F is odd, knowing the age and country of origin is often a guide ?
  8. I'm trying to remember how long ago I first saw an Engcon tilt rotator working at the SED. There did seem to half a dozen of us who spent half of the day watching it and trying to find out what it was ??
  9. I'm amazed that any reputable supplier would even load a vehicle so grossly overloaded. I wonder if they run transport and hold an operators license ?
  10. Could try a Gunson type pressure bleeder, but connect to the bleed nipple and back bleed (it's the way some machines are filled on the production line) ?
  11. I am so politically correct I'm pretending I haven't a clue what you're on about ?
  12. Horrible stuff for splinters, the body doesn't like it up'em ?
  13. Absolutely hurling it down ?. School holidays started 4 hours ago, it's rained for all of it so far, last year they got half a day before it started ?. Going to be quite hard to sell outside work to the younger generation ?
  14. I bought a digger from Andrew Wilkins a few years ago, not the cheapest dealer but I've never regretted buying from him ??
  15. My goddaughter used to do really well with luck money in one of our locals at Cheltenham gold Cup time ??
  16. I've always been under the impression that the court system is pretty relaxed about what goes on OTHER than disrespect to itself, members of the jury get locked up for breaking the rules!
  17. I've never quite managed to get my head around how the soft southerners in ancient times kept the most productive lands for themselves. I'd guess that the northerners are a lot more generous than we give them credit for ??
  18. I've been trying it today strimming alongside walls. Stihl fs 44, bump head fitted with one strand of Stihl orange & one of 2.4 bio. The bio so far seems good, doesn't break easily, wears slightly faster, the wearing to a rats tail is actually good near more sensitive targets. Going to try it on the fs85 next ?
  19. I'm another one for saying arbtalk has been a huge game changer. The knowledge freely shared has raised the standards in tree care.
  20. Fraid twould have to be moving images with sound...... got to hear them ported saws ?
  21. Most tractors are only permitted to run with a trailer to 40kph. Used to drive a tw35 a lot on the road and it seemed to keep up well...... lots of empty road ahead of it and even Audis didnt take us on?
  22. The 8230/8240 I worked with on ag contracting seemed prone to premature wear on the front drive train. Dif pinion and gearbox output shaft splines giving out ?
